I managed to punch a pig ... into a wall. As in, got stuck in the wall and suffocated.

Couple of updates later: Minecraft multiplayer is technically open to all right now, although there's only one server and it's full pretty much all the time. Password's random, slimes have a new look to them, etc.

Still waiting for official MP, though

So I went ahead and bought this game - and it's awesome, as expected.
Can't wait for:
  • Alpha Creative

  • Survival Multiplayer


I've died a lot already, with two deaths being because of a nasty bug where a ship can clip you into a wall and you die. I've always struggled to find my "base"; even with a map, I start running the wrong way XD
I'm having tons of fun, though. I'd upload some screenshots, but I'm sure you all have already seen tons of those generic bases, so I'll keep them to myself

A list of everything so far that I've found:

*Chickens (Drops feathers, zombies might no longer drop them[?])
*Coal Powered Carts
*Storage Carts
*Cacti now grow like papyrus
*Changed rate of growth for papyrus / cacti(?)
*Music returned
-New Music with this
-Music is triggered(?)
*Arrows now use flint rather than iron
*Possibly more

In other news, I've found a hole near my house with lava flowing inside it. Not sure how I missed it, considering that I've passed it over 100+ times.

They're useless right now because no-one knows how to get CDs but it's a diamond surrounded by wood. It looks like a bookcase

It was recently changed to the new one, the old was a bookcase. Keep that as a limited edition item

Also, records are dungeon items only at the moment, like apples and saddles.

I really can't wait for SMP.

In other news, I made a water slide. Pics will be linked because they are rather large.

Go in and you'll float back up to the top!
(Note: I lost hearts because I got stuck in the ceiling while going up the watervator. Normally this doesn't happen if you enter it at a decent speed, but I was trying to edge in so that I could get a screenshot of me inside. Obviously, that didn't work out.)

I spent a good while on this but in the end it was totally worth it. It's so fun! I'll have to duplicate this on a multiplayer server.

If you're lucky you'll be able to move out from under the ceiling. Sometimes it'll happen when you get off of a boat if the ceiling is too low, in those cases you'll need to feel your way into looking down and right clicking to re board the boat.

Another method I use is that you don't collide with blocks you're stuck inside. if it's safe to do so, start breaking rocks/etc around you and try and walk into the empty space you've dug out

Apparently there isn't even passwording, so keep in mind there's nothing there to prevent griefing if someone finds out the server address, for the time being.

During testing we empirically determined that my server can handle explosions of well over 700 TNT blocks with only a little lag.

Clients crash easily, however, if their particle counts get too high.

I swear, I find some of the coolest cave complexes in my worlds, like one square sized holes dropping into a cooled lava pit, the only 2 entrances / exits being through water flows. That and caves directly under my dock house that make good emergency exits.

Also, I plan on making a tree hut on the sides or top of 3 giant trees, in my forest of rapid takeover.

I built this crazy-ass tower and sky garden on Sukasa's multiplayer server, signed with my name once you get up it!

Afti built the entrance to what he calls Minecrafture nearby, next to Draconicus' castle.

Oh and he built a bunch of his name all over the place and said he was going to roof it, right around where I signed the ground so that you could see who built the tower. :C

No pictures, you have to sign in and see it yourself! Or someone else can post pictures, I can't screenshot right now.
