Chaos.

Chaos runs rampant throughout our society. Chaos destroys our cities. Chaos murders our people. Chaos threatens us as a species. Chaos is pure evil. Chaos is exemplified in one being, Xrknn Kkntwr.

We have dedicated our lives to fighting chaos. We are the Three Guardians. Our people have given us titles. Our leader is called The Governor. Our comrade is called The Scholar. I am called the Chronicler. We were gifted with almost godlike powers. Our people rely on us to keep them safe from Xrknn Kkntwr.

However, Xrknn Kkntwr is growing too powerful for us to battle. We can will things into existence. We can command nature to do our bidding. We can break the constraints of reality. Yet, we cannot defeat Xrknn Kkntwr.

We need help if we ever wish to have peace.

Pain.

Pain is all we have ever learned. We fight as hard as we can, but we can save no one. We've heard the screams of children silenced. We've seen the elderly crushed by the pawns of Xrknn Kkntwr. We've felt the earth shake as entire cities fell. Soon, all will be lost.

I am The Scholar. Along with the other Three Guardians, I am justice. I believe that all things evil must be eliminated, and we were created to be capable of such a feat. Yet, I can't overcome this obstacle. No matter how powerful I become, Xrknn Kkntwr can always counter me.

I want the pain to end once and for all.

Evil.

Evil is the bane of our world. Evil separates our people from the justice they deserve. Evil turns the bold into the weak. Evil corrupts our heroes. Evil purges the hopes and dreams of the fair Aw'twuoarr people. Evil is Xrknn Kkntwr.

Evil must be stopped. In the name of everything good, we, the Three Guardians, spend every moment of our lives struggling for a world without evil. I, The Governor, lead this noble cause. We use our godly powers to combat the forces of evil. Our potential is almost limitless, but we are just demigods of good, while our opponent is a true god of evil. We can only postpone what seems to be the inevitable destruction of all we care about, albeit indefinitely with the progress of our people.

Still, we can only wish for a day filled with good instead of evil.

At this point, normal characters get a non-standard game over if they choose "no".

One can only avoid this by having collected all 65535 mysterious glitchy crystals in the previous thread and having gone to the secret dungeon and beaten the boss, therefore gaining the infinity plus one sword. This leads to a very intense boss fight though, so save your game before this point.

Trust.

Trust is not something I'm willing to give him, and you two shouldn't be willing either. We know absolutely nothing about him or even if he's telling the truth. Governor, he could be an agent of Xrknn Kkntwr for all we know.

I'd rather die fighting than give up everything and leave that which we, three beings of godly caliber could not accomplish to a lone stranger. Even you shouldn't be able to argue with that, Chronicler.

We haven't lost yet, so I'm not ready to just give in.

Justice.

Justice is what we stand for, Scholar. We cannot be so selfish that we refuse our people this opportunity just to keep our powers, can we? No, we cannot. Clearly, we should sacrifice ourselves for the greater good, as it is the duty of the Three Guardians.

Besides, Xrknn Kkntwr is too chaotic to trick us like this, and those he has corrupted always have a malicious intent in their actions. This Big Daddy may be different from anyone we have ever encountered, but I detect no such intent from him. I believe he is telling the truth, and I think that this is the best chance we will ever get to finally rid the fair Aw'twuoarr people of evil once and for all.

Choice.

Choice isn't something we have. Our society crumbles under the pressure of Xrknn Kkntwr as we speak. Despite all of our efforts, this situation has never changed. This isn't battle we can win, my comrade, and as our leader pointed out, our job as the Three Guardians is to save our people no matter the cost.

Now, if you look at the implications of this deal, there is also something desirable for us on a personal level. Once this is over, we can live the normal life which we were each denied at birth. We will not be pressured into our duties, as there will be no more need for the Three Guardians. We will be able to pursue our individual interests instead of sacrificing our lives for the sake of others; even this should be appealing to you, my comrade.

Although we have no other choice, our lives can only get better from this point on.

Peace has finally returned to our land. The dark cloud that has hung over us for so long has now vanished. My eyes open wide as the stars fill the skies once again. My people have truly been blessed. The corrupted have seen the light. The children can laugh and play. The elderly can rest. Nobody has to live in fear ever again.

Life.

Life has never been so relaxing. The fighting is over, we have won, and we have retired. We will never have to be the Three Guardians for another day of our lives.

The people also seem to be happy. They enjoy following the teachings of Big Daddy, and they have built great monuments in his honor. It seems as if they have forgotten their old heroes, but as long as they are content, we will be as well. Besides, our newfound lives are far more meaningful to ourselves compared to our previous lives of extreme selflessness.

At last, we can rest.

How are we supposed to fight? We gave our powers to Big Daddy as part of the exchange, so we are as helpless as the rest of our people. Big Daddy won't reverse this without a good reason, and I don't think we...

Wait a moment. If you're right, then he broke the deal. We were to give him the abilities of the Three Guardians, and we did our part. He was to rid our world of evil, and he has failed his part. Not not even Big Daddy can argue with these facts, so all we have to do is show him what he has done to us. We can then dissolve his cult and regain our powers!
