No, it's not Sonic CD. It's a planned edit of Sonic 2 and the graphics have yet to be inserted. I started off making a few graphics in SonED2. Usually I start off by blanking the palette, making a new one, and then a few 8x8s or 16x16s. After the groundwork is laid, I use MSpaint.

Well, this is supposed to be Star Fox 64's Corneria. It's recognizable but not really that pretty to look at, isn't it? The level data format and related stuff needs more research, the whole program framework is junk ('cause it's non-existent, being just a bunch of shitty code barely working together), etc., etc...

Yeah, the grid is just a grid, but it was there to simulate the ground plane that each non-space level has. As far as I'm aware, all those levels only have flat ground by default, which has to be sprinkled with objects in the form of "bumps" and such.

That said, here's how Corneria's looking now:


(Also featuring some of those bumps I mean - those things ex. beneath the tower)

The most severe rendering glitches have mostly been fixed, now it's hopefully just a matter of emulating SF64's F3DEX 1.xx Ucode right to get texturing, etc. to work.

The generic ground will be used in this level due of graphics layer limitation (as you see, stuff beetwen water and rock graphics is a little cutoff. And the whole thing is a bit beta: i may add a layer 3 BG.

It's interesting that even though I make a point of checking this thread AND I have reason to believe that Darkdata knows who I am AND I think if you're gonna put a bunch of internet people in a game it should be pokemon, I never PM'd him about being in his pokemon game.

I guess I just assume that most of the people who would play this hack would have no idea who I was and so it would be strange to them in a game that's supposed to be hilarious and familiar.

Also I guess I settled for just naming myself Koneko and rocking the lot of you (for revenge from the online Pokemon tournament a long time ago.)

Anyway it's pretty sweet and I basically can't wait to play a pokemon hack.
