So I had a fun little adventure. I would have been asleep a long time ago, but two things are keeping me up

1- I finally got my car. And I pick it up tomorrow.

2- I had an hour long battle of the meanest, biggest, wasp I have ever seen.

So, I used bleach. Did not work. Fly swatter to the body about 10 times, did not work, and now? I just got back from the store, picked up some super wasp-be-gone spray and killed him.

At first I thought it was a big cockroach. But then when I noticed his wings spread out, I knew he was bad news. And flew right towards me.

I really, really dislike wasps.

Some jerk-off thought it would be a good idea to throw a fucking STICK INSECT at me. It latched onto my face and I ran off screaming.

Scarred. For. Life. If it has more than 4 legs, I don't like it.

EDIT: Ooh, look. My syndrome has gotten worse

Wasps would casually invade my room, and built a nest right outside my window.

I took the fight to them with wasp spray, and me and my cat smashed and brutally dismembered the others who kept attacking us.

God, I hate wasps too. It stems from traumatic childhood experiences.

My parents have told me that when I was really little wasps often got into our house. Little kids + wasps = Stung little kids.

Another time was, when I went with my mom to pick up my sister from girl scout camp. I was about 8 or so. We sat down at a picnic table. There was a wasps nest RIGHT under where I sat. I was probably stung like 20 times. Owwwww.

Don't really have a fear of them, just an annoyance.

I do remember when I was in kindergarten and a bee stung me while I was trying to play on the tire swing.

When I was younger I was going somewhere with my friends in a minibus, and guess what?
I sat on my seat and leaned backwards. Needless to say, there was a wasp there. And after that it somehow got in under my shirt and that needle kept stinging me.

I never developed a fear for them though

My wife is afraid of just about any insect. There was a month in the car once and she freaked out like it was a giant killer bee. She literally fell out of the car when we stopped just to get away...

I'm not afraid of them in general, if I can see them. My fear is not seeing a spider or other nasty crawler in my bed, or shoes, or clothes. We aren't saturated with them here in Las Vegas, but they aren't completely extinct (as my adventures with the spider and centipede show).

I'm afraid of bees, because my mom had a potentially deadly bee sting allergy.

Once, a bee seemed attracted to my bike and would not fly away from it. Someone else had to help me get the be away.

When I was a kid it always seemed like no matter where I went there were always wasps. I always hated them, and after I got stung by one for the first time I hated them even more. Luckily I haven't seen too many of them yet this year, hopefully it stays that way .

For me, it was ants that seemed to follow me around.

Non-flying insects are scarier to me. Probably because I can't just shoo them away and have them fly, they creep and crawl around.

I can not stand any type of bug.

Flies aren't a major hassle that I hate, but I fucking loathe lightning bugs. The fuckers are huge and they get in my room all the time. I had to kill three of them last night, and in mid-air because they would not land for more than a second. I know I got one of them, I heard it hit my flyswatter.

And of course, bees and wasps suck too, but isn't that a given?

Yep, I'm pretty squeamish about pretty much anything a frog would eat, as I often say Earthworms, slugs, keep those away from me too. And spiders, and those daddy longlegs things that look like spiders with really long legs, but aren't really spiders.

We'd camp in this place that had zillions of them (as well as lots and lots of mosquitoes). Once, one crawled up my leg. Eww. I pretty much freaked out. "THERE'S A DADDY LONGLEGS ON ME!"

I remember one time I was lying on the couch watching TV when something started floating towards me. As soon as I realised it was a daddy longlegs, I rolled off the couch, grabbed the empty 2-litre Pepsi Max bottle and hit it out of mid-air with a very satisfying *thunk!*

I'll never be able to beat my dad. He kicked a wasp, which smashed of the window with a louder thunk. He then sucked it up with the hoover xD

Bees, hornets, wasps etc are all jerks. They'll just fly up to you and buzz around for a bit like "hmmmm, should I sting him or no... hmmmmmmmmm" and you're just waiting for it to get into the right position that you can smack it away hard enough that it won't come back, but it never quite gets there.

I don't mind bees so much. For the most part, they don't tend to want to sting unless they're pissed off somehow.

Hornets and wasps always seem to be mad, though.
