Am I the only one who think it sucks ball having nothing to do for 9 weeks?
Sure school sucks... but it's not like I have anything better to do. ;

I remember getting my first job when I was 15... actually stayed there until I was almost 22, although I wanted to find another a couple years before that. =/
Summer of 1998 was pretty good, since I got a new computer and discovered stuff like Usenet, etc. =D

I didn't mind it. I had from December 2002 through around July 2004 when I was out of highschool. All I did was watch movies, play video games, and hang out with my brother. Fun times.

That is a long long time.
I had from December 08 (when I graduated college) until March 2010 (when I got so bored I went back to college) of free time. And even then, I took 3 advanced classes (March/April) that were 5 weeks each. So since the beginning of May until who knows I will be doing nothing.
Finding a job is s pain in the ass. I used to love summer and free time but too much of it just kills the fun.
I haven't had more than a few months of free time since 1992
Some of my longer periods of free time were summer 2005, between high school and college, winter 2007-2008, between a college semester in the USA and my study abroad in Germany, and summer 2008, between that study abroad and my next American college semester.

Yes!
I would love that time off (paid, of course).
Except, I don't get paid anything at all. It's just weeks off from school, if I wanted to get paid I would have to get a job and in that case it would not be time off.

That's when I was born

Woo! 3 days and 91 stars later, I have finished Super Mario Galaxy 2!!! Now, to get the remaining stars and then do whatever bonus material becomes available No spoilers please. I have to say, I wasn't expecting the interstellar vehicle at the end to show up. One thing I am confused with, Nintendo was supposed to have increased the difficulty of Super Mario Galaxy 2, yet I find it easier than Super Mario Galaxy. Anybody else feel the same?

I love summer because I don't have to worry about essays and heavy reading loads, but I still have to work lots to be able to pay for school and whatnot. I wish summer could be like it was 10 years ago... not a single responsibility in the world to worry about!

Yep.
I wouldn't go back to being a child though, really. Not enough freedom. I'd rather stay an adult with a lot of childish interests.
I would go to class in the summer, so that I could lessen my workload in the spring and fall.
I still have a week and a half to go before I'm finished. I'm really looking forward to the Summer, hopefully it will give me a chance to get back to work on some of my personal projects as well as let me be more active here. I wouldn't mind if summer break lasted forever, I'd much rather have nothing to do all day than to be stressed out over essays and exams (although with that being said, I always have something to do so I never have that feeling of boredom anyways ).
Too much free time makes me restless. I'm trying to force myself to do something other than slowly change into a vegetable. Sometimes, though, it's so nice to lay in bed staring at the ceiling for hours.
I have/had plans to review physics/calculus before fall semester starts up. That way, it's fresh in my mind, and I will have a jump start on the material Yes, I'm crazy and will do that for "fun."
