Speaking of Majora's Mask, just about everything with the Last Day (The Moon, the music, the atmosphere, the music, the thought of the world ending, the music...) was absolutely terrifying when I was a child. It caused me to have a fair share of nightmares back in the day, and it was probably the scariest thing which was intentionally frightening I have ever encountered.

In terms of movies, the infamous tunnel scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory did quite a number on me as well. The memory is so old that I can't remember any details about how I reacted (Chances are, though, I didn't actually have a reaction), but I certainly remember being horrified.

The strange thing about these things, though, is that despite how scary they were, they never actually prevented me from watching/playing the movies/games they appeared in. However, this only applies to intentionally frightening things.
To provide an example of an unintentionally frightening thing, whenever a game would catastrophically crash, I would nearly freak out over it. This often had lasting effects, but I could typically get over it fairly quickly.

These days, video games and movies don't really scare me, but I'll never truly leave these memories behind.

Ah well, at least I wasn't the only one creeped out by Majora's Mask.

Hmm, my dad just bought that again. I must get back into it...

I can't believe how many things I forgot.

Majora's Mask: The moon... oh, the moon. Scared the hell out of me. The last day, at night, when the moon is so large. Especially when it starts falling. Oh God, when it stars falling I always got terrified. The music and everything. Mind you I was 5 when this came out and my brother was playing it. Things are scary when you're that young. And when your big brother insists on playing it in the dark. The darkness made it much scarier. I started playing Majora's Mask a few months ago, and, while not as creepy, it was still creepy. Oh, the aliens! So scary, how they're all over the place and they... just everything.

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wkcjFC0zc-Q&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Now then, on to my fear about zombies. My brother was into Resident Evil when I was 7 or so. He played them, the Gamecube versions. As mentioned above, he likes to play games in the dark. So imagine being 7, watching him play a game with zombies in the dark. Since then, I'm dead afraid (no pun intended) of zombies. Seriously.

Last but not least, the game over thing from Star Wars Rogue Squadron. I couldn't find a video on YouTube or Megavideo, but the Rebel symbol comes spiraling into view along with creepy music.

Things moving just slow enough to be perceptible.

I kid you not, I was afraid of things that moved too slow. Stemmed from a nightmare where something like this occurred to me.

Any creature in the Shadow Temple, including the Shadow Temple itself. I remember I would always watch BL play games when I was a child, because he was a game hog. But the second he would either enter that temple or even the well, I would run behind the couch. Seriously, ReDeads are screaming, WallMasters are falling everywhere(Didn't enjoy watching him run through the Forest Temple much either), and the boss is just freaky looking as well. Then there is that mini-boss the Dead Hand or whatever. Ugghhh....

Xenobia and Royce from Lunar SSS/C were just plain freaky. I knew Phacia would be the nice one, because she actually looked nice. The other two, dear god, did they scare me. Then Zophar's huge appearance in Lunar EBC. Seriously, just look at him!

Even his voice sounded like pure evil. Unfortunately, his fighting form wasn't scary, just plain weird. I oddly wasn't afraid of Ghaleon, because I thought he was BA. Well, he is too.

My parents had a record player when I was really young. I had an Alvin & the Chipmunks album but it had a scratch on it. I knew where and when the scratch would happen and for some reason, I was scared of it. So right before the scratch would hit, I would run out of the living room, past the kitchen and hide in the hallway where the washer and dryer were until it passed that point.

OK, back in 1989... my parents and I moved to a duplex, which was nice but seemed to be “haunted” somehow... I had scary dreams in that house, and even heard a strange voice one night. Glad we moved out in less than a year...

Come to think about it, I was never really scared by video games or anything like that... I've been a really brave young lady for as long as I can remember... =)

One of the things that frightened me as a kid were ReDeads. Specifically, the ones from OoT. Man. Freaky stuff.

I'm just gonna make a list of things that I... ..."didn't like".

1: Kill Bill, part 2. There is a scene where Beatrice (the bride) gets thrown into a coffin and buried alive, until she is literally in a cramped wooden box with nothing but soil six feet in every direction, and only a limited supply of air left. She eventually escapes (on her own no less), but...

2: Knight Rider (Original series) episode, "Junkyard Dog": not much disturbs me these days, but when I saw this episode, it too became something I... "didn't like". Basically, while investigating a junkyard which did not properly dispose of its toxic waste, KITT (the car) gets forklifted into a pit full of the stuff. KITT can't get out, and constantly calls for help from Michael (Don't Hassle the Hoff), who simply can't do anything to save KITT. He's forced to call for a tow truck from headquarters, but they don't arrive until the next morning. When KITT is pulled out of the corrosive pool, its innards are completely eroded away, leaving only a silver body, with a bare metal frame. (to drive the point home, Michael calls out for a response from KITT, but there is none: the magic is gone.)

...Apparently they find enough of KITT's CPU intact to revive him, but after being rebuilt he actually has Robot PTSD from the whole thing..

3:Redeads never bothered me. ever. They were annoying, but they didn't bother me. Nothing in OoT did, really, except for Dead Hand. it was the texture... plus, no human has anatomy like that... what is it, and how was it made!?

4: Wizzrobes in the original Legend of Zelda, rightfully so, do not make for a good night's sleep.

5: Phanto in Super Mario Bros. 2. You take the key, and this horribly creepy mask face starts flying around and chasing you as long as you have the key. It doesn't matter where you go, what room you're in. If you have the key, it will fly in and try to kill you.

6: Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road is not a game I like to stop and rest in. I nervously try to get to the end of each stage, because otherwise bombs start raining down on you, that pretty much instantly kill you. It just... I get nervous.

there's several other little things, like the fish in Balloon Fight and that little spider in the walking stages of Ghostbusters 2 (NES), but this is the main sum of it.

More things that I'm scared of:

Supernatural (TV series): There was this episode where a demon would sneak in through the window and suck the life out of a child. Only happened to children. I was SOOOO scared by that... I didn't sleep for nights.

On the topic of games: SMW's Banzai Bill sprite. I got trolled a lot on I3 because I made a thread about it.

Also, Unagi from SM64 (as mentioned), and the weird eel thing in Beach Bowl Galaxy in SMG. It's instilled a fear in me of water levels in 3D Mario games..

do I even need to explain why a five foot tall, 120 lbs bat that requires drinking eight gallons of blood daily jumping out at my ten year old self at night with THIS FACE would be horrifying? No?

Does THIS help?
