I have plenty of them.

Well, sort of. It was mainly the right scene at the wrong time really.

So, to start things off. Let's look at the movie: All Dog's go to Heaven!

*Video not found*

Well, fuck. Anyways, there was a scene in this movie when as a kid; I was watching Charlie the Dog come back from the dead. As soon as he set his paws at the dock, and the cat screamed: Inside of my ear was a hornet, and it stung me several times before my dad could get it out. That scene in the movie would haunt me as a child. And I was too scared to watch it. Funny enough, I did watch the movie with my neice and nephew. And at the end of the movie I told my sister: "Remember that one time where I got stung the hell out of a hornet during this scene"? Sadly enough, she remembered!

And now. For the movie "Neverending story"

Yes, this fucking Turtle gave me nightmares as a kid. Morla sneezing, Morla talking, and Morla existing! This fucker right here is when I would fast forward the scene (That and...)

Would get the better of me. I hated this scene. Now? I love it! It's awesome!

Finally there was a scene of "Who framed Roger Rabbit" where Rodger would be flushed down the toilet. Mom always tells me that during my toilet training I would NEVER sit on the toilet. Was too afraid too. Gee, I wonder why?

What are your stories?

The whale in Pinocchio scared the hell out of me as a little kid. I'd run behind the couch when he showed up.

My brothers made me watch Stephen King's It when I was 4 or 5. That clown was my nightmare for a long time after that. I still do not like clowns to this day.

That, and the Tales from the Crypt skeleton guy freaked me out when I was a kid.

The boss intro to Blaster Master.

I always found that freaky as fuck and I had a few nightmares about it as a kid.

We were shopping for videogames when I was 6 or 7. The employees were playing some really gory game (maybe Mortal Kombat). At any rate, during the fight there was blood spurting everywhere, and there was some finishing move, and the guy's weapon got stuck in the enemy, and he couldn't get it out, and....

I was crying before we got to car. I felt like I had eaten... I don't know. A rock or something. And that it was tearing me to pieces from the inside out.

My earliest nightmare was caused by Quake 64. I'd rather not go into the specifics of that dream, but I've never played Quake 64 since...

Too many things to count, but I eventually grew out of virtually all of them either with time or through humor.

The only thing that I can remember is when I had a dream about a tornado. Since that time, I've had a fear of them.

I'd get scared of just about anything. I read a book about reportings of ghosts and other paranormal experiences in Michigan and got scared for a long time, thinking that a floating torso or someone walking with a candle or whatever would show up. Another thing that scared me was a few bosses in Kirby's Adventure, specifically the ones who would pick Kirby up and toss him around or crush him, etc. For a while, I even had my mom fight them

Not when you're 5! Now I look at him and laugh, but back then his voice and appearance we're enough to frighten me.

I can't think of one that scared me offhand, but The Brave Little Toaster fucked me right up. For years I treated inanimate objects as if they could feel pain and emotions.

There was one movie where a kid kicked a radio into someone's swimming pool and killed them; that did freak me out a little at the time, but all it really did was re-enforce the common-sense rule I already knew: electricity + water = bad.

Whilst it didn't give me nightmares it was the first thing that scared me and could still get me freaked out even through many of my teenage years.

It's a sound.

It goes like BZOOOOOOOOOOOOM. And then you're dead by lazers.

I hated quickman.

The Zero Virus theme from Megaman X5. That, and the VERY creepy purple picture of Sigma creeped me the fuck out. It still scares me to this day... I listened to the first second and it scares me. LEAVE ME ALONE!

So far, only three come to mind:

-Unagi from SM64 (combined with fear of drowning as seen above)
-ReDeads
-Wallmasters

When the classic Mac OS would crash, a dialog with a little bomb icon would pop up and say an error occurred, give the error code, and it had a restart button.

The bomb didn't actually frighten me at first until I encountered my first system error suddenly in the middle of a game. It came up so suddenly out of nowhere that it frightened me and for a long time I associated the bomb icon with that sudden appearance and it too became frightening.

Now that the classic Mac OS is dead though, I don't have to worry about it (though I doubt it would scare me now 15 years later.)

PC errors and crashes (Oh, and these were abundant on a 286 with a failing hard drive, too! ). These would freak me right the fuck out for some reason, probably because I remember some loud noise being associated with it.

Lava would bother me too, even in games. I still get freaked out by the thought of actual lava, but if it's in a game it doesn't do a damn thing to me anymore.

Well, I was off the audience age anyways (... how old was I?) but I didn't have much of a problem with anything else in the game...

But in Terranigma, I remember being absolutelly terrified (and with reason...) of Beruga at his first mention. As in, what I heard the cult that talked about how he cured people from death...
I had seen other things that made me cry a little and a little fear... but that just was so wrong and evil I cried and didn't touch the game for weeks.

It's what I get from playing such a game... but I am sure that made me a better person and it really was worth it.

Other less dramatic things... Faces, the Master Hand's evil laugh, Kakariko, Mighty Bomb Jack...

For some, unknown reason, walking out into Termina Field on Majora's Mask creeped me out. As such, I'd just keep replaying the first part.

I've got no idea why it creeped me out.
