The original Super Mario Odyssey is dead. There's very little hope of resurrecting it, since a) the code is a mess, I hate looking at it, and I've forgotten where I left off/what bugs needed to be fixed, and b) Lunar Magic 1.72 would probably do some very nasty things to it.

I kind of consider this new project to be the spiritual successor to SMO, though, and will likely reuse a lot of elements (no sense in throwing away all of that hard work), so no worries. I'm kind of excited to start with a clean slate and do things right this time.

World 1-1's tileset is coming together...a lot more smoothly than I expected.



I'm using the NES palette for now, though I'll probably switch to something a little less saturated in the actual game.

(NOTE: if this tileset winds up in someone else's hack, there will be hell to pay! Keep yer hands off!)

You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
