So, I have come to the conclusion that my job at the OG is by far the 2nd best job I ever had. There is being able to enjoy your line of work, but the people you work with make the experience all that much better.

My job is easy. Making sure everyone is doing ok, getting drink orders when needed, talking with the guests, and other "Primary Host" things that are fairly simple. It's basically Disney without pressing buttons and having to announce random speals out to people.

But the people I work with? Oh man, everyone there is amazing.

90% of the OG nicknamed me "McLovin" (Cause I SURE DO FUCKING LOOK LIKE THAT GUY DON'T I!?) and almost everyone else has a different nickname. My trainer, I have nicknamed Urkel from Family matters. It fit as soon as I called it.

I am good friends with just about every hostess there, but the main people that I enjoy talking with are the servers and almost all of the bussers. Managers we kinda cut up every now and then, but we never talk about personal stuff.

Usually I like playing little odd pranks on the hostesses. Hell, we always cut up whenever hardly no one is there. I usually page random pagers on the desk where the front host stands at and I always wait until she comes out from the corner and has this "What the fuck" look on her face. It never get's old.

The best prank that was done to me was by one of the managers. He claimed a party of like 40 was coming in and I had to go into a room and get everything straightened up. By the time I got back there, almost every single table there was flipped upside down. I too had this "What in the fuck?" face as the District manager just laughed and patted my back. There was no party of 40 coming. He just wanted to see my face (If you could not tell, this was on a slow day)

Most of th bussers usually like to cut up. We have like our own little language called the "White boy" language (All of the bussers are black), and being white that I am, it all started when I emphasysed on "Hollar...at...your...BOY" (I guess I need to record this so you can understand) and every busser there thouht that shit was hilarious. That's how we usually talk to each other now. After our shift is over, we grab a beer from the bar (In different clothes) and just talk about random shit.

Honestly, It's never a dull moment here. Sure work is awesome, but the people I work with? Amazing.

Got anyone you work with whom are awesome?

1. Burger King - First job ever and it was pretty neat, actually. I had a lot fun (some drama but I was in high school, so yea) and some of the older employees looked after me like I was their little sister.

2. Regal Cinemas - Made some good friends here and my future husband. Late after work, we would head out to Denny's. Especially on a Thursday night after watching a new movie that was set to come out the next day.

3. Wolfgang Puck - Shame that I don't really talk to the people that I met there, especially this one chick. We follow each other on Facebook, but she's usually busy with her son and she's having another kid soon. Great times. Some of us went to a strip club together for our manager who was getting married. Also got wasted one night and hung out in the parking lot. Went to a few hockey games as well togther.

4. GameStop - When I had my own store, it really felt like a little family. Shame everyone that I worked with lives too far for me (not really, but when I really don't have a car of my own and money).

5. Coconut Creek Casino/Fresh Harvest - I hate this place and I really dislike the people here. Common sense is missing and I have nothing in common with anyone that I work with.

So 4 out of 5 isn't too bad.

Lain's post №801

1. A&W - It was fine. The manager and supervisors were all nice, and most of the cooks out back (as was I) were nice, except for this one guy who would push me out of the way every time he walked by me. Eventually I got fed up and pushed him back. Then he pushed me even harder and almost into the damn grill. Thank God he doesn't work there anymore.

That's pretty much it. I haven't had an actual job since A&W back in 2007 for two months before College. 2nd workterm doesn't count. :p (although so far it's been great!)

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
