From my knowledge, as a troll warlord, I was trying to make up for my confidence issues by belittling and destroying other people's work, for no reason.

I later realized that helping other people was more fun. Unfortunately, it is difficult to instruct trolls in this, as they'll believe they've tricked you even if you say the magic words which indicate you haven't fallen for their tricks.

I think with me it was the attention thing, as I was mostly ignored for my first ~2 years at Acmlm's. I did and do have very little self-confidence though, plus I lived someplace that was actually even worse than Detroit at the time, which certainly didn't help my mood in that era.
