Sorry, forgot to reply your previous post. Yes, it will work with 1.3b, I will update the readme file.

Edit: Another new feature I'm implementing on 0.8 is setting collision types to materials. To assign collision types, you'll have to edit the .mtl file and add a "collisionType" attribute followed by the collision number. For now, there won't be a graphical interface for this.

just saw the preview for 0.8........BRILLIANT!

the GUI looks a bit confusing though, i don't get the bit about the 3 banks and the object lists and stuff.

at this rate, I'm guessing by version 1.0, there will be an option to replace either the level, or an object in game of your choice in the bank of your choice!

well that's all in the future.........or the past..........whatever!.......

can't wait for 0.8, hopefully more texture fixes!

If there was an Way to fuse 2 .OBJ The Spiral Mountain in Super Mario 64 would have the Bridge and some other stuff working

Why?

Because spiral mountain has 2 models: Spiral Mountain A and Spiral Mountain B:

Spiral Mountain A:

Spiral Mountain B:

Is it Possible to Fuse both Models?

I'm awaiting Reply, meanwhile im going to keep exploring Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie Models. Possibly, i will import one of them into SM64.

Aamelo: use your 3D modeller to import the two .obj files at the same origin point, maybe that will work. Just remember that these models use a lot of blending effects that will be lost when you import them to SM64.

Each "Bank Object" combobox presents a list of diferent possibilities. The "object list" is merely informative so you can know exactly what objects are in each bank.

Replacing objects in a bank will never be supported, however creating new banks with simple model files (ie, for platforms) could be an option in the future. Many problems would arise though, especially related to behavior insertion.

The textures didn't work at all with the old ctv.exe. If you want I can re download it and get you the log.

Try using models from BK that don't have 2 parts.

And quick question about Google Sketch up: How do you export to an OBJ.?

You need Google Sketch-UP pro.

Go to File>Export>3D MODEL.

Check if The Export Type is as .OBJ

But, if you want to import it intro SM64 when you save it as .OBJ go to Options and Check "Make all Faces Triangulated" or something similar...

Yes, just use this Obj Export plugin, it works better than the native .obj exporter in SketchUp Pro.

Also useful is this Triangulate plugin.

I'm kind of having this major problem with the obj importer now.

http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg244/wwwarea/SuperMario64Ssnap0011.png

Seems most textures are all streched.

I tried importing the level with both 6 and 7 version but it did the same thing. =/ I even tried a new rom with out any custom maps and still did the same thing. The only textures that are working are the stone on the walls and this other texture somewhere. All the textures were 32 x 32 also. So I don't know why its doing that to the map in the game. But these days, when I was importing maps, I diddn't have this problem. It must be the obj file or something. I looked at it before importing and it looked fine.

Can anyone help me please?

Edit: OK, in google sketch up, I moved it and scaled it. And then export it by using blender again and this time, it looked diffrent, as the polygons were repeated alot but thats my fault with the resizing. So anyway, I fixed that and then now in the game, most textures are fine. Just the tiles around the carpet wearn't so I had to re texture that and then they looked weird and then I was resizing this other texture that wasn't the tiles and now the tiles don't look wierd. xD Hmm, this is a confusing bug I think. Well anyway, sorry for asking help since I got it taken care of now.

Ah, I was just wondering about this problem earlier on. It's not related to the textures themselves, but the texture coordinates (how they are mapped on the faces). I'm not sure I'm dealing 100% right with texture coordinates, but here is a guide to "fix" your map (I assume you are using Sketchup. Is that right?):

- Open your model file and search for the faces where the texture seems stretched.
- Probably this will happen in very large faces, in which the texture repeats itself several times.
- Now use the "line tool" (the pencil in the interface) to subdivide your faces. For instance, if there's a large rectangle, try dividing it into four smaller rectangles:

Before (notice how the big grass area repeats the 32x32 texture tons of times):

After:

This is prone to happen when working with 32x32 textures, so whenever it happens just subdivide the faces until they look right in game. It will happen whenever there's a vt value which is greater than 32 or less than -32.

Yeah, I was using google sketch up and thanks. But when I export, they turn into tringles unless I have to do it before exporting.

Edit: Oh wait, it might be squares I have to do and then tringles.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
