| Mostly, things that have already been mentioned on here. Slow computers make want to start throwing shit and shout at inanimate objects. Also, I hate those cubes of pepperoni on frozen pizzas. Ruined many a pizza for me. @Gabu: I seriously could not agree with you more. I believe you can thank Horace Mann for compulsory education, when it comes to the States. Back then when our country was young, it was necessary. Today, it's become this massive deficit dinosaur and I've seen first-hand the unintentional damage it does. Hell, there were times I needed to stop going and go private for sanity's sake. The state made it damn near impossible and regulated the living crap out of it, and I was forced to go back to the public system. It kinda disturbed me on how dedicated the government wanted to preserve it's monopoly on education, even in the private sector, and that's essentially what this boils down to. Well, in my opinion, that is. But of course, my little cousin recently became home-schooled. And guess what? The transition was fluid, and practically unregulated. Turns out that there was a big movement to decentralize private schooling in my state and remove the governmental element from it. And of freaking course, they were successful a full four years later after I managed to graduate from high school. My luck for you, ladies and gents. |

Paulguy's Post configuration
Originally posted by Terra This, but also extended to stuff like drivers and software. Drivers are some of the most difficult things to find on the internet, even for CURRENT hardware. You usually have to deal with some really poorly designed manufacturer's website (realtek) or one of those awful "GET ALL YOUR DRIVERS HERE BUT WE'LL NAG YOU AT ANY MOMENT TO REGISTER!" sites. Even worse, the sties that make you pay for it, or just link to other sites (often the manufacturer who took the downloads down). Someone should make a good, true drivers site that actually has the drivers stored locally, without a ton of bullshit, and some goddamn moderation because there're so many bullshit things uploaded. Hell, I saw a driver site host random SNES games that people uploaded. All of this for free. Seriously, it's not a huge effort if you aren't a greedy fuckhead. ____________________ |

| I'm primarily motivated by my desire to push my own limits as far as they can go. So the thing that makes me the most angry is when my skill backslides as a result of lack of practice. I usually don't even want to improve again because my fury at how far I am from where I was distracts me from being able to perform well. |

A little bit of both. I have a pretty positive view of limited socialism. Liberal spending != Deficit spending and/or irresponsible spending. ____________________ |
