In my opinion, simple layouts are generally better than complicated ones.

You should change the color of your visited link because it blends right in with the background.

.yourclass blockquote hr {display: none;}

You can stack element types and classes like that. Fun example:
.foo table tr.lol td {}
will apply to any "td" element inside a "tr" element with class "lol" inside a "table" element inside an element with class "foo".

[edit] Actually you'll want to use visibility: hidden instead of display: none, unless you do like I did: .yourclass blockquote .fonts {display: block}.
