Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Yoshi Party wants to know how to make it snow, not how to change the texture of snow.

Change the texture of snow could make snow disapear. As of now, and the first line of my last post, you cannot change the weather in levels.

Okay the mario rom extender says this message: Error calling command line utils, make sure your account has sufficient permissions to use command line programs. Make sure to run this from it's original folder.


I do the original folder part and I looked up the updatestage.com and so far it looks like it doesn't exist, could you guys help me k thnx

fixed my last problem but... how do you place things you can walk where you want em to be, like I saw a feew things on youtube where the island in the sky is on the ground and such like that

The island in the sky in Bob-Omb Battlefield cannot be moved, it's part of the main terrain geometry (well you could move it but only by editing the polygons and collision map, which TT64 cannot do). Maybe what you've seen is the floating islands found in Whomp's Fortress, as those can be moved with TT64.

You cannot move it unless you edit the original level geometry, as VL-Tone said. Once the PPF patch is applied, Bob Omb's Battlefield is completely replaced by Flatworld. So, there's no levitating island anymore.

The current version of Messians importer imports models with there textures, but so far I haven't had any luck with it.

If for "Objects" you mean the model of the level, yes, you need to set textures from the 3D program (example, blender). You can't add sprites in the level with the current version: you will have to wait until TT64 0.6 will be relased. Also, make sure that your texture names don't have spaces.

I was scolling through an untouched extend Rom in Tile molester, and Believe I found an unused Lakutia texture. It's just above the eyes at 00A36ABB and is also just above the Good Lakutia eyes. It's a smiley face that resembles the cloud faces you see in other Mario titles. Is there any way it could be activated?

I think the only way is replacing lakitu s texture with Lakutia's texture! i think adding her in the game is not possible (yet!)

The texture is just the smiley face on the front of the cloud. If it is an alpha texture, I was wondering if it could be put in front of he cloud somewhat like Bomb-omb eyes and other billboard effects.

There are a few things wrong here.

First off, you are editing at the wrong offset.

Secondly, it seems Tile Molester has set all of the gray area to be opaque. I don't know if Tile Molester has any functions to edit the alpha channel.

Third and most importantly, Tile Molester has serious bugs in all 16, 24, and 32 bit color modes. Do not use Tile Molester. Textures do not appear in the editor the same way they appear in-game, and editing or importing can cause corruption.

Let's take a look at the first image you posted.

Tile Molester sucks

Notice the strange blue/yellow haze around the original hand image, and how your replacement has no such haze. Now let's look at your replacement hand icon in the game.



There's the haze again, with the colors reversed. These are the most visible effects of the bugs. However, non-texture data can be corrupted, so do not use Tile Molester.

Not sure if that's the case, but some texture offsets may look very weird because the unaligned way the ROM is extended (which also causes troubles when DMAing with more accurate emulators such as Nemu). Will be fixed in the next version of Toad's Tool/extender though.

By the way, VL-Tone, don't forget to make sure your importer makes everything word-aligned.

Here is the link for the Spiral Mountain map with textures. Note that you can download Bottles Glasses, the BK ROM and export any other map if you want to import them in Mario64.

URIs must be properly escaped, they must not contain unescaped
characters below U+0021 including the space character and not
above U+007E. Tidy escapes the URI for you as recommended by
HTML 4.01 section B.2.1 and XML 1.0 section 4.2.2. Some user agents
