I started playing another birthday present of mine, Phantasy Star 0. It's the sequel to Phantasy Star Online, with a very similar system, but heavily plot-driven and a lot more difficult. I've died so many times to even the first two bosses. I can't wait to play online with my friend.

While at home: Journey to Silius for the NES

This is a rather interesting game that I started playing the other day that has very similar game play mechanics to Mega Man (Moving and shooting couldn't feel any closer to the way that Mega Man feels and you even get a new weapon after beating each level!). I've been able to make it to the final level several times although the fact that it's an auto scrolling level makes it a bit more difficult from the rest of the game .

While not at home: Link's Awakening DX for GBC

It's been about ten years since I last played this game and after watching Xkeeper's first play through video of it I realized how I remembered almost nothing about the game. This inspired me to play though it on my own first and then go back and watch Xk's videos after I beat it since I would rather find the secrets on my own .

Playing Team Fortress 2, and starting to feel like I've not improving.

Over the 18 years I've been playing FPS games, I've never really played seriously. Sure, I played Catacomb 3D and Wolfenstein 3D when they first came out, and that's the only reason I can say I've "been playing them over 18 years". Played a smattering of games, on and off, since. Never really been good at any of them.

I think I need something to help me pick up some of the general… skills.

Although I do really enjoy setting the Scout on fire.

Just got the last shiny golden star in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Huzzah!

Also, I'm at the final level in Phantasy Star 0. That games is much harder than PSO.

Anyway, I've been playing Borderlands, currently as a level 26 Soldier, and I've been enjoying it so far, aside from a couple of things. I seem to have this annoying habit of "dying" the instant I kill all of the nearby enemies, leaving me unable to get a second chance. (This is often caused by those exploding barrels.) The other thing that bugs me is how difficult the bosses are; even when I out-level them, they always seem to be able to kill me before I can even tell how they're attacking me, and all of my weapons seem as powerful as pea shooters, even if I get critical hits.
Other than those things, it's been pretty fun, even if I can only play single-player mode.

I've also been playing Quake Mission Pack 1: Scourge of Armagon on and off. It's not as good as Quake, and it seems far more difficult in terms of enemy placement and level design, but it's otherwise a good game; the additional weapons are also neat, but I could hardly care for the new enemies.

just downloaded a rom of super mario world 2 (yoshi's island) and its really fun cause i've never really played yoshi starring games before. i'm only in the first world but thats cause i haven't played much. i'm also thinking about finally beating banjo kazooie which i started almost a year ago but since i got modern warfare 2 it won't happen for a while

True: I do play around work. I thought I'd played a bit more than that though. Eh.

And it turns out I am improving, but yesterday was a bad day and some people are arseholes. Today was a better day, and I was drunk and I set a spy on fire that looked like a scout (I really really like setting scouts on fire… the only thing better than setting a scout on fire is setting a scout that is really a spy on fire.) ^____________^

Then my game shat itself. Possibly because I was called Senator Stephen Conroy at the time…

I'm currently switching of between Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars and OGame, a interesting text based game that my brother introduced me to.
