I'd like to help. This sounds like a very interesting, cool project. I could do level/overworld design and maybe some music, but don't ask me to draw any graphics, for the sake of my sanity and your sense of aesthetics.

By the way, sorry to sound like a tenderfoot, but...what exactly is the summary of this so far?

I still never really wanted Zero-styled srpites for the game. I figured we were going to use graphics closer to MegaMari or Rozenkruezstilette, or a more anime-based style.

Even if we used larger sprites than MegaMari or RKS, the palettes should be a bit more contrasting than the Zero style.

Those still look pretty good though. >.>

Not to complain, but this is a Megaman game, isn`t it? I've never heard of "MegaMari or Rozenkruezstilette". Nothing against them, I'm sure they're good and all, but it would just seem odd to have a Megaman game without Megaman-style sprites.

Ah, I just looked up the sprites. I hate to say it, but they are entirely too close to... gaia or maple story? Whatever that online game was. I think using sprites from any other style of game would ruin a lot of the relation to the whole "Megaman" aspect we're going for for this game.

And thanks, It took me a while to work on them, since just as I was finishing them the computer screwed the whole lot of them up. BLEARGH.

I dunno guys. I'm for those sprites there. I don't think Chibi players is going to fit with the overall story/style anyway.

Edit: Exactly, Sukasa. I think styles should be incorporated in a way that works. I'm still thinking in MMZX mode here, so just smack me if I'm in the wrong mindset. (Figured that was Anime enough...)

Thing is, I got sooooo tired of Zero styled sprites

I was a spriter before I came to Jul. There are TONS AND A HALF of Zero edits out there.

And I just got tired of them being the base for everything.

ZX sprites I can maybe see

But whatever.

Now that I think about it, Megaman Powered Up was chibi, wasn't it? I'm mostly just concerned about the EXTREMELY complex bosses and the underly complex characters. I think if the spriting style was a bit more balanced between the two it could work...
