Prime95 might just kill mine too.

It usually doesn't give any major problems, but does tend to buckle under pressure. I think the crashing has to do with this program showing fullscreen windows with transparency. I have tested the RAM and hard disks recently.
XP always did bizarre things for no apparent reason, but about 80% of the oddities I get on Linux can be explained by me doing silly things like starting 256+ simultaneous downloads. (Oops. Network subsystem did NOT like that.)
