So, yea... where do you like to shop in terms of discount/big-box stores?

As for me, it's Kmart and Target... I can't stand Walmart, since all of the Walmart stores I've been to in this area have been terrible, and I feel that they're bad for the smaller retailers

I remember when chains like Caldor and Ames were still around in the Northeast... those were some of my favourite stores back in the day (it's too bad they were both wiped out because of Walmart...)

I live near a Kmart, so I often shop there.

Michigan also has one called Meijer (pronounced Meier), but I tend to avoid it for personal reasons. My mom seems to love it though.

Oddly, although I'm familiar with the name, I don't think a Kmart exists anywhere around here. Wal-mart and Target are pretty prominent, however.

I can't say I have a preference since I rarely buy things, but I usually end up going to Wal-mart for what I need, which usually just happens to be clothing.

Sams Club.

It's basically Wal-Mart except you can buy stuff in BULK. Like instead of one box of cereal, you can buy like a 10 pack and save 30% off.

However it's best used if you own a major business. They do have some killer deals on supplies. But avoid the food there (Unless you live in a huge household with a lot of people live in it)

Smart and Final.

K-Mart is a ghetto, Wal-mart is filled with Pod people, and... Target comes in second place, but I wish they had even more variety in their food.

Paulguy's Post configuration
Target. Wal*Mart is gross and k-mart is ok but target seems a little higher quality.

I usually go in a Wal-Mart before anything else. K-mart's around here are getting to run down and Target is just gay. Worst store of all ((Which I'm surprised that it wasn't in the poll)) is Big Lots.
