We used to have name change requests over on SMWCentral but after about a year of never knowing who the hell anyone was, we got rid of them and they only show up for holiday times, like halloween and christmas.

One thing that was good about all those name changes is that the user profile listed all the old names that the person had. It'd be nice to have that here.

I usually just call people by their most recent user name although sometimes I debate whether the person would still like to be referred to by their past names or not .

Aw man... What I wouldn't give for an electric razor right now... My sideburns have gone wild and they eat through my razor blades if I even catch a little bit of them when I shave. What sucks is that I use a Gilette Fusion razor, those fuckers aren't cheap to replace blades on.
