Steam has a lot of deals and there'll be new ones every day... I mean, there's good prices already. Plants vs. Zombies at $4.99, Dragon Age: Origins for $37.49, Batman: Arkham Asylum for $24.99...

Cyber Monday > Black Friday.

Another difference; we don't open our stores on Boxing Day until 11 AM or noon.

Poor Danielle.

Target has a special on Assassin's Creed 2. You get a $10 giftcard when you buy it. But I just don't want to deal with the shoppers. But they also have a digital picture on sale that I want to get for my dad for Xmas so....I'm really trying to fight this....

Actually looking for a performance computer, if you can understand where I'm coming from. Trying to play certain games (that everyone knows and 'loves') on this computer just doesn't work out. But if the laptops actually work better than the other available desktops in enough categories, I should consider it.
Also what's the deal with computer name brand anyway? I'll have to be given a briefing on why HP/Compaq are bad. This desktop is a Compaq and I don't have any problems with it(besides the software OS problems from recently and the beginning of Vista)

I think I'm going to try to look over at Best Buy on my way home from work tonight. It's on the way. I have to see if people are camped outside.

Of all the days for my laptop screen to die

I want a cheap netbook, but I'll probably have to wait until Saturday. I wish I could just get a desktop, but my school needs me to have a laptop.

Welcome to Jul.

I'm not even attempting to go out in the morning. I have 6 buvks to my name, and that's not getting me much.

I do like the PS3 bundle Wal*Mart has though.

Yea, there's people in line for Best Buy already.

I looked at a few ads before going into work today and a lot of places have good deals, but only 3 to 20 per store. And 20 if you're lucky.

I really hope no one gets killed this year.

Problem is that there's really not that many Black Friday sales online... most retailers wait until Cyber Monday.

What a stupid name.

Thank you.

Yeah. People camp out overnight at stores -borderline crazy. Especially after last year's Wal*Mart incident in N.Y.

PS3 bundles are oh so tempting though.

I thought "cyber" sounded cool and futuristic at first, until it became essentially synonymous with online sex. Maybe e-Monday, although I was never too fond of the e- or E- prefix in general (other than some established ones like E-mail and ebaY).

Not the Cyber part... just the name itself. CYBER MONDAY. Sounds like a program block on G4.

It's even funnier when you know what "cyber" means in internet slang.

[lol.] Wonder what would happen when every one found out what that meant...

From my experiences, HPs and Compaqs have a high failure rate and are made of cheap parts. I have honestly never seen an HP computer in my life that didn't blow up way before its time, and HP's customer support is ATROCIOUS.

e: and it's not just me too - a few people I've talked to share these same experiences. maybe it's just bad luck, but eh.
