I had a terrible Internet connection back a few years ago, so I spent more time watching anime and playing RPGs during that era

Nowadays, I'm on boards, YouTube, etc. more often, since I have a much better Internet connection...

Mine's ridiculously fast. I'll have to run Speedtest on it tomorrow, thuogh I've hit 3/4 MB/sec during downloads before.

Speed Test and the laptop at work didn't agree.

Now that I'm home....

My upload really sucks. Takes forever for me to upload a short video to YouTube.

BTW, if you didn't want us (Jul) to know where you live, we do now.

Nope. I've just been fighting to get a DSL connection for five and a half years now, and at long last it happened.

Anyway, I retested with another server:

What I want to know is why it seems quicker to Scranton than Philadelphia. And why it's reporting 1200/1150 mile distances, when they're not even out of the state (and I'm very close to Philadelphia, too)

...Or why my ISP field is blank.

Both are better than my DSL, so mass downloadings are still best done while out.. but it's still ridiculously fast compared to what I'm used to.
