As far as I know, a spree is just a large burst of posts within a short timespan. It doesn't really matter where the posts are made, from my understanding.

I don't think I would be able to spree in just a few threads. I'd get bored far too easily and I wouldn't be able to keep up at all. It's hard enough to think of relevant replies and to post quickly all over the board - let alone in just one place.

There was a huge spree pretty much entirely confined to 1 thread a while back

It's in the Display Case, here

And yes, a spree can cover anywhere from 1 thread to the entire board

That's insane. Especially in one thread.

I've spreed on another board before in Forum Games for ages. That was insane and full of ninja posting. I have around 3k posts there I think, but obviously not all are from that place.

Nope, we had a shitload of different game threads. Even mindless stuff like "Count Down From 100,000" (it's at 98,647) and "The Person Below Me" and such. That's how we managed to spree/ninja post so much. We constantly ended up failing and calling each other out on it (and of course, then ninja editing).

Anyways, posting in large sprees is definitely very fun. I've only really had one chance to do so though, in that one thread Terra linked to earlier.

I do better when the sprees are spread out (more things to post about instead of back and forth), but they do usually stay within a few threads

And when my board had that Big Topics forum, we actually had a "One word at a time" story

It went like this:

One afternoon, I was dead THE END

Then it started over and grew for 4 months (until Big Topics was closed down), finishing with this:

Today, I killed the bastard who drank my tequila, because I was really pissed. But then someone rewarded the cat who was very selfish with some chicken. The flying bird attacked my best friend's cat, which then blew Linxys apart. The guy ran to the mall to rob the butcher's shop for fun, but the robbers were actually Bill Gates's personal assasins. They started towards the counter when a driveby appeared. He pullled a banana out of the violin-case and threatened the butcher who also tried to cheat Mr Monster, but the police came, arrested him and killed my stupid chicken. Starving was me. I finally managed to understand McDonald's food. So I then decided to throw up. God killed every robber who robbed an Acmlm imposter. When the Devil bought N*SYNC's crap, he decided that Acmlm should get killed by Conker and X-Box should he survive, The others fight in Hell in crappy battlesuits. Satan then killed someguy. A noise! Don said: come to the arcade. I will kill Mr. Monster with chainsaws but they cut Ajafegtpuwqaertopashd's spleen out. That story disturbed everybody because it still doesn't make sense nor it has a plot, which is totally irrelevant and pointless. Nonetheless, the X-Box exploded into trillions of pieces, defouling something. Afterwards, Acmlm started disintegrating Skydude's Gameboy Color because he didn't have anything left besides a billion memories of his old life. Therefore, he annihilated the devil because he wanted some money. He slaughtered Vincent violently with many spoons with pointy handles, afterwards, it began to rain cattle shit. That then Acmlm started to kill (person), a fat idiot who is still jailed. Prostitutes are coming! I ran home to my little bungalow in East Palm Beach. I then killed ghosts with my vacuum vegematic drink processor. Explosions occured in tandem with asses spouting some nasty heads. However, Yoda came and killed (person) with bloody knives. (person) rotted and became piles of piss, reeking very sucktastically bad. Meanwhile, some boyscouts were eating brunch when suddenly... POP! There came Bowser and slimy heat-seeking guys who farted bombs under ßouché who died. Then Bob Barker took some resurrection powder and revived ßouché. "Splash" went to rape ugly bastard swords that cut rusty tomatoes that split with bright light and destroyed the other ghosts that ate "sploosh" every "Splish" and "Pouck". Frequently, I have sucked someone's toes until *KAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!* they imploaded without a spark flying around the room. The lady walked to the grocery store. She decided to kill herself and haunt telemarketers with "pénis-têtes" and Emuz's old porn would then burn like a cake which had exploded together then he ate his bomb then said "Shit, that hurt." So, he went bonkers. The noses sucked Nu up the robber's then swallowed my brother's cereal quick and sloppy. The mutated giant nu took a metalic carpet, Spewed out druggies that ate mice at McDonald's restroom. So Yoshi Dude killed himself. Many Timmay are plentiful pancaked. The following day I commited persuit on flying attack papayas meat while having a coffee-flavored pizza named caffeine-pizza latte. Burning water disintegrated my penile pack, so Dr. AcM&Ms caused pimples on Acmlm's body bag, neglecting Acmim's board when Acandymlm tried Crap-Box, insanely enjoying stupid porno magazines while taking birth-control pills and morphing into something hideous. Afterward, Blades decided to "go to sleep". But instead, he wanted chocolate for his foot fungus. He coughed up marbles made carelessly from balls of steel. Later on planet Zickawingadockaclingobalpafazingixaladiziangias, Evil was going to the store because gigantic babies were terrorizing the small tumbleweeds town. In jonwil's tomato battleship, Yoshi Dude again revived himself and Vincent, when suddenly evil voices started shitting. All your base are belong to us. Finally, after this, the world exploded, causing popcorn frigates to reverse the skull kids away, which caused dicks to explode on the sidewalk. Then airplanes could eat children and nosedive up then down ßouchéan ßouché's nose around 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 times. Foom started to incinerate his loins and then his leg exploded. He started to chase a speeding boot which was attached to a car. Kirby decided to go home and kill his child with sporks, then he attacked his big mother with spoons. Then a fucking pie hit him in the head. Leroy ate some gophers that were as ugly. He proceeded up Eminem's chimney with seven bottles of dehydrated water. When suddenly the many stairs in his house exploded into Emuzia. When moo117 exploded, then disintegrated into nothing, because cheese became rotten with spores on ugly brown lumpy muffins. UFO's landed on the head of my horse until it exploded going over to the crazy drunk old Acmlm , disfiguring the whole and entire cafeteria lady. New to the neighborhood, I was touring the tourist part of Europe. Then someone came out of the mall, shooting a bazooka. SHlT! He aimed it skyward and hit a fat cow, spraying the blood everywhere. Then an idiot ran to his former bad enemy, shot a nude bitch running and then she fell on her head. She kissed something slimy erotically grabbing its big eyeballs and ripping teeth until it ran fucked up Barney Highway all the way to grandma's house when it started to fuck the house wife and the husband to do the task they thought would make their lifes better. At home. They fucked you no damn poo fucking dogs piss suck their dicks and fuck each pink panther running like a slow drunk master and while running he found a big magical fucked up puppy monkey. It is huge like a elephant's dick inside the box that is pink with purple dots with a pussy on it Lenny was a engineer who got his old woman back to his car falling in a white seat that is yellow. Suddenly, a moose exploded. Then almost the crap descended onto Mario's face and the thingy smelt like PIZZA! So Luigi hits Peach! Luigi then stuffed his mouth in the oven and burnt his Nu Mario so went the butt and so then he turned. While he Moved. He looked. Yoshi did nothing. This story is really finished!

I remember playing the "One-word-at-a-time story" thing with my friends. It produced similar results like the one Acmlm posted and was just as funny hearing it aloud.
