I was in a similar boat with scholarships, Gabu. I ended up dropping 2 classes and getting a 4.0 with just 7 credits my first semester

Now it's my last semester, and I'd be fine with D's in everything. Only 1 class I have in related to my major, and that's a project rather than a typical class.

Don't remind me. I'm also supposed to be enrolled full time (12 hours minimum) in order to keep the scholarship. So I can't just drop my class because then I'd lose it.

Gabu, how many credits are you taking now? Maybe you can still drop some of the classes you're most struggling with if you can still stay above 12. Don't despair, I was in that boat and I came fairly close to suicide

13 credits. I'm not sure if I'm motivated or just an idiot, but I've also joined the newspaper and have a website I'm updating daily with a creation that takes about several hours to complete. Not to mention that I'm actively searching for a part-time job.

Yeah, maybe hold off on something until you're more caught up with classes You could try updating your Web site less frequently, if that takes so many hours. Then again, I'm not setting a very good example I just started a project recently and came up with another one.

Scholarship requirements suck, don't they? I'm glad I don't have to worry about them this semester, as I've used up all of my scholarship money

I wish it were that easy, but I need to get material out there so I can have a greater chance of being noticed, need to be with the newspaper so I can publish some of my best work in there (not to berate the current cartoonist, but it's so... not good), and a job so that I have both money for later (Christmas, personal wants, etc.), and so I have job experience for when I do become a certified computer technician. In short I'm doing everything for a reason. And besides, I'm doing pretty well in most of my classes.

Kind of. I published some articles in my high school newspaper, but mostly I publish cartoons. It's my specialty. But I've told the coordinator that I can also write articles and shoot photos if the need arises.

And technically, I have published something by myself some time ago. I doubt I'll sell any, but the first Neurosis book was more of a test to see if I have what it takes to actually finish such a big project, and I did.
