I use Pidgin because it's free and it works for me. Your mileage may vary.

I use Pidgin. It used to crash a lot, but it's been a lot more stable as of late.

However, for some incredibly odd, inexplicable reason, file transfers crash the program (and give me a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error). What's odd about it is that this apparently doesn't happen for anyone else I know that uses Pidgin on Windows.

I used to use Pidgin, but now I just use AOL's AIM. It's not as annoying as it once was, back when it had talking ads

Still no sign of the cat. for all I know, they could have found it already. And the foxes were out this morning. I hope they don't find the cat if it is still missing! I'll try to get a photo of the foxes sometime.

Also:

Our guests seem to largely consist of the same IP banned person. Just something I noticed.

That's because a bunch of possible bots have been trying to invade the site all day. Luckily, the site is smart and IP bans them automatically.

I remember when the Internet wasn't so crawking with bots You could register at most boards with just a name and E-mail address, or even just a name, and sometimes you could even post unregistered. Now, it's all these E-mail activations and CAPTCHAs and such

And I miss the days when Web sites would just give you random passwords. I don't like having to come up with a new password for everything.

Yeah, but with so many Web sites requiring registration, I have about a googol and a half passwords to keep track of, and I tend to lose small scraps of paper

Firefox remembers some of them for me, though

My passwords are completly random, and rarely alike. I make it so I don't have to put it in every time, though.

Yeah, it really annoys me how some Web sites won't let Firefox save the password. That just makes people more likely to pick simple passwords and/or write them down I have a link that helps with that though Sometimes, anyway.
