The worst part is that one of the teachers expects us all to be like graduate students in philosophy, for a class taught to a lot of incoming students. And my school is almost 100% engineering and architecture students

I'm in Illinois, unfortunately, so I had to complete four years of PE in high school.

Luckily, I broke my foot at the midpoint of my last semester, and my gym teacher didn't assign anything for me to do.

Ah yes, when breaking feet always try to pick an optimal time. Say, one to get you out of PE

I was in PE at middle school and actually got excused from it for the last few months so that I could work in the library. I didn't get paid though.

I sucked at sports and always tended to get the types of PE teachers who wanted everyone to participate or else. Sometimes I'd fake it and run in the general direction of the ball in games like football, without making an actual effort to contribute to the game in a meaningful way.

I got a 98 in P.E. last year and might even be eligible for the award for Grade 11 P.E. at my school (that is if someone didn't get a 99 or 100...). I actually enjoyed my P.E. class, sure it was hard to play sports first thing in the morning although it was definitely a good way to get my body out of sleep mode .

I hated P.E but I absolutely loved Tae Qwon Do. I took a year's worth of training from the place I trained at and really loved the outcome.

And while I worked in Florida, I took another course of Tae Qwon Do and achieved



I never had to take an essay considering my transfer though. I had high recommendations from my master.

I would kill for Blue Red stripe though.

Gym class... argh. Let us not speak of that.

We had to do 5 laps around the school once. And it's a fairly large school too. And we also somehow managed to do canoeing...

The school? I thought 5 laps around the gym floor was bad enough. And then there were Backwards Thursdays. Yep, we had to run backwards, which I learned tends to be extremely exhausting. They cut back to 3 laps for that though.

PE in elementary school was a lot of running and playing games.

PE in middle school was just playing basketball. I usually played with one of my guy friends.

PE in high school...ummm..walked around the track a bit, umm....I don't remember much, actually. Odd....

In the same semester I broke my foot, we had to do things similar as warm ups. And if that teacher thought we weren't trying hard enough, he would make us to that one part of the drill over and over again until he thought we were trying. I am in no ways athletic, so by the end of drills that went by with no problem I'd still be gasping for breath.

When I broke my foot, it was in quite an embarrassing way (and during spring break, too), but at least I didn't need to do those godawful exercises ever again.

Well, it wasn't a full-out sprint, but... apparently teenagers need to run a lot. Forget playing games or having fun... we need to run.

Gym class first thing in the morning on some days = NOT. FUN. AT. ALL.

Now that was quite possibly the worst of it. Fail PE, don't graduate from school. Therefore, I had to bust my ass (and almost pass out from running too much) for those As. Quite possibly the hardest easy As to ever get. :-\
