I didn't get on the internet until about 2003 due to the fact that my family didn't get our first computer until then. The reason behind that is that my dad never thinks that he needs any kind of technology to survive and thus thought that a computer was a waste of money (This is also the reason why nobody in my direct family has a cell phone .). It's funny though because almost immediately after we bought it it was common for him to be rushing me off of the computer because he wanted to check his e-mails/do other things . Luckily the only time that I've ever had to use dial up internet was when I visited my grandparent's house. My home computers have always had high speed .
