'87?

.....

I need to find that old photo of me when I went to Disney. I think it was '87. Or was it '86?

The only thing I remember for being 4 years old, is playing video games.

I'm sure it was '87 for me since I was 4 years old and it was in the summer. Process of elimination there.

Fun fact: I still have (and sometimes use) a plastic mug from Sea World which we got in '87. XD

Nope. The only chance that I had to go on it was back in '06. We were hitting the parks before going on a cruise to get married.

I looked up at that thing and I said, "no freaking way". Same went for Doctor Doom's ride a few years after.

I had a really good time at Universal Studios today. The Simpsons Ride was great and I also found The Mummy and Men In Black rides really fun. They're also building a new roller coaster called the "Rip Ride Rockit" which looks like it will be really good. I actually saw them doing some test runs tonight and it looks like it's almost ready to be opened to the public.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Animal Kingdom. I'm looking forward to riding the new roller coaster "Expedition Everest" and it sounds like the safari should be good.

Everest wasn't open when I was there. Got a nice picture of it though.

I'm trying to make a point to ride a roller coaster before I die. It isn't working so far

I would have said something a bit more naughtier than that.

I've been on ONE roller coaster in my lifetime... it was a simple one (no loops or anything) and it took me around 10 minutes to get my bearings afterwards. Course, I was 12 years old, but still.

I've always liked going on roller coasters, I can't remember the last time that I felt nervous about going on one .

I had fun at Animal Kingdom today. Expedition Everest was a good ride although it had an extremely long line up later in the day (luckily I had a chance to go on it not too long after the park opened when the line was still fairly short). The safari was also fun, I had a terrible time trying to take pictures though due to the fact that the road was so bumpy that every time I was about to take a picture my hand was jolted out of place .

Next up is Universal's Islands of Adventure which I am really looking forward to. The first thing that I'm going on tomorrow is the Hulk ride because I've heard from a lot of people that it's really good .

Back on the subject on being young and not remembering going to a theme park like Disney. I never understood parents doing this when all they had were babies.

Yes, babies.

I barely remember going to the parks when I was three. The only thing I remember was the ride there, and the ride home. That's it. According to family photos, I did not even want to go. And neither did my sister.

When I get children of my own, I will take my kids down there when they turn 10 or something. As a baby, this is not happening.

Islands of Adventure is the best park, by far. Have heaps of fun.

Apparently my family's planning a trip down to Florida for next year sometime. Doing Disneyworld for a week or something like that.
Hopefully before I leave the house.

Island's of Adventure was incredible today! The Hulk ride was great and Rip Saw Falls (log ride) and the Popeye ride (raft ride) were also really fun. Doctor Doom's tower was a disappointment though, all that it did was shoot you straight up and then slowly lower you back down .

Tomorrow I'm going to Disney's Hollywood Studios (MGM). Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster should be fun .

Of course although I haven't seen anything interesting enough that I've deemed post worthy, unless people want to see pictures of random scenery and rides .

Although now that I think about it there are a few things that I should have taken pictures of that I didn't. I'm revisiting Universal Studios on Friday so I'll post some pictures then .

Bitmap: Hey, I went when I was 4 and I think I remember bits and pieces (MICKEY!!! ^_____^) but aside from that... I know we hit up Disney and Sea World, and we visited some really big mall, but nothing else comes to mind.

Oh, aside from the fact that we had to take some shuttle when we got off the plane and it was about a 15-20 minute drive to the actual AIRPORT. So I guess that I figured out, at 4 years old, that Orlando's airport was a bitch.

Higsby: Hey, if you have a good scenic picture, share it.

I had a good time at Hollywood Studios today, the Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster were great . At about 4PM a huge thunderstorm started and it lasted for over an hour. I took a picture of how hard it was raining but unfortunately my camera's battery is dead so I won't be able to post it tonight .

Tomorrow I am going back to Universal Studios because it was such a good park that it deserves another day. I plan on taking some pictures of the new roller coaster and posting them when I get back.

So today was the last day of my vacation and it definitely ended with a bang. The roller coaster that was still being tested at Universal Studios opened today (without any previous notice) and I got a chance to ride in the front row of it after waiting in line for over two hours .

This is the entrance to the roller coaster from earlier in the week before it opened.

The large line for the ride that developed shortly after it opened at 12PM.

A shot of the roller coaster from far away. Unfortunately it's impossible to get a good picture of the entire roller coaster as it is extremely long. This is the best shot that I could get that included most of the roller coaster .

The very beginning of the ride. The roller coaster goes up vertically and then down a steep slope.

The most unique thing about the roller coaster is that before the ride begins you get to chose a song from a list that will play out of a set of speakers that are built into your seat while you ride (that seems like a run on sentence but I'm exhausted and I can't think of any better way to say it at the moment ). Unfortunately I hardly knew what any of the songs were because I rarely listen to music (excluding video game music) although that didn't really bother me.

My drive home begins early tomorrow morning and I will be arriving at home on Tuesday night. Don't expect to be online again until then .
