Here, share some dreams or nightmares that you often times have here. I know a lot of people have like flying dreams or teeth falling out dreams, etc. happen to them often. I get some weird ones.

1.) Since I was 6 or 7 I've had this dream where initially the view is very fuzzy and dirty and I can sort of make out a blurred image of a hobo stumbling around an alley and then suddenly I am hit with a brilliant blinding light and the environment is all white and incredibly sharp and shiny marble like; It's stupifying. So here I am with this hobo confronted by some seemingly holy and feminine(no real shape but there is something in its tone) that is so overwhelming that I am forced to wake up. It's a very "loud" dream.

2.) This one happens if I study too much or something. Every time I attempt to go to sleep I instantly slip into a sort of dream although it's more of a feeling of me being burdened by work. I keep thinking things like "okay after I'm done with this I have to solve this problem and this one" and then I get all worked up that I wake up and try to get to sleep again and the same thing happens right away. It's very frustrating.

So would anyone else like to share?

I actually had this one last night which I haven't had for years, I used to have it all the time.

I would be pretty much forced to go visit my friend's lame grandparents, myself giving obvious signs of protest the entire time. When I finally get there they are super awesome! They play video games, give us sweets and soda, etc... After a while, they would say, "Lets go down in the hangar now!" I would always be confused by this and when we arrived in the hangar (which was in a hatch in the living room), there would be an alien spaceship there. After I ask about it, they say that they found it in their backyard one day and ask if I would like to pilot it.

We all know what happens then. I either pilot it and have the standard flying dream or I wake up in disappointment.

I have many recurring dreams. But usually, they are just recurring themes and images. I do have some that are the same exact dream over and over again, but most of those I hadn't had in years.

One dream that I just had last night is a recurring theme one. I always have dreams involving thrill parks and roller coasters. More than that, the thrill parks always have a watery type of weather going on. Either, rain, haze, mist, fog, thunderstorms, or sometimes the park itself will be in the water or over it. And ALWAYS, when I ride a roller coaster, or someone I care about does, the track is always broken or extremely messed up. Sometimes, I'll be waiting in line, and the coaster will actually be advertised as being broken, like that's the whole point of the ride.

Some of my roller coaster rides play out like the SNES Donkey Kong games in level like Mine Cart Mindness. I'm in the coaster when I see that part of track is missing. I then manage to jump the coaster from one piece of the track to the other. Other rides seem to be perfectly normal, when all of a sudden the coaster skids off the track, usually into the water hundreds of feet below, plunging me to certain death. Then I'll have dreams where I am not even riding in the coaster. Instead, I'm walking on the track trying to avoid getting hit by the coaster, or falling off.

In the dream I had last night, My sister, my friends and I were waiting in line to ride Wicked Twister, a real coaster (sort of) at Cedar Point that is right next to the lake. It is really misty out, but our mood is happy. We can't wait to ride this thing. Finally, we all get on, and the Coaster zooms of at its usual 60mph. We go up back and forth just like it does in real life, getting higher with each reversal of direction. But then, in my dream, we realize that something is wrong. It's not slowing down. The next burst sends the coaster off so hard that it actually breaks free of the track, plunging all of us to certain doom.

Dreams where I end up dead freak me out. This one was even more disturbing sense it actually felt realistic. Usually, these dreams are pretty surreal. I think I know why I have them though. They are a manifestation of stress, and an expression of the craziness in my life. As for the one last night, work has been hectic lately, and I have been questioning myself as to whether or not my life is "on the right course."

I think dreams are a way to help us deal with issues in our life. Recurring dreams are your mind repeatedly trying to tell you something, or trying to get you to face it. Once you resolve the underlying issue, the recurring dreams usually stop. This is why I don't have the ones I used to anymore. I've moved past the problems they were addressing. Stress though, yeah, that's going to be an obstacle of mine for a while.

The only recurring dream I've had was from many years ago.

I would be walking around places almost but not quite the same as reality. Some of them were specific like my house or neighborhood, others were generic like street corners or parking lots. The same odd things would always happen. I would always rescue someone trapped in a minivan in an empty parking lot by turning a sign, like the lit up numbered ones you see by cash registers at Wal-Mart. And I would keep finding an odd plaster head sitting around. There was something distinctly creepy about it. It trapped a person in a minivan somehow, although whenever I found it it was inanimate.

I always woke up before the dream ended, except for the last time I had it. That time, I saw the head on a counter in my house. It fell down and started rolling towards me, and I stomped on it.

It broke.

Then I woke up, and that was the last of that dream.

While not a dream, I have a strange fetish with trains in my dreams. They seem to play a role in a good number of them.

I always dream about some future event that I want over with. I usually wake up after the dream slightly confused and wondering if that happened yet for a few seconds.

The most annoying thing my subconscious loves to do to me however is let me buy tons of games, computer software, -anime only items here-, and then, just as I am about to play with them I wake up. It's like my mind is going neh neh neh NEH neh.

My dreams only recur in that I'm always beating the @#$% out of something, be it green men who throw devil's food cake bombs, aliens, evil sentient stuffed animals, lego men, polar bears, or would-be armed robbers.

If I were in the matrix and it was anything like my dreams, those agents would have to run for their lives from me summoning guns out of thin air and teleporting bullets directly into people. Not to mention warping through time, exploding people's skulls with my thoughts, and predicting the future, then preventing that future from happening.

Although I've never really had a recurring dream, there are often recurring themes in my dreams.
To start it off, I'll pick the oddest of the bunch: color themes. For many of my dreams, the one thing that I really remember about them was how everything was colored. For example, I've had dreams that were entirely in a sepia tone, and others that were just black, white, and red.
Second of all the end of the world is a somewhat common theme, but it always varies. One of the earliest ones I can remember from several years back involved mutant space rats (Yes, really) blowing it up right after I realized that they existed with the discovery of my pet rat who was missing her spine, yet was still alive; the most recent one, being only a few months old, involved being in a large single-building school with a bunch of other people as a large clear blue shock wave was expected to tear through the building at any minute. (Now that I think about it, that dream focused on white, black, and blue...)
Anyway, other than the fact that all my dreams are in first person, the most common element in my dreams is that I have some sort of enemy, usually one that I must fight. Sometimes, my goal is to ultimately kill it. Sometimes, I just want it to lose. Sometimes, I can't do anything about it, and I just have to deal with it. Recently, this enemy has been a rival of sorts that has appeared in 2-3 dreams so far.

...So, yeah, that's about it. I could go on, but I fear that I've rambled far too much already.

Oh man YES I used to have dreams like that all the time when an snes game would come out that my bro and I wanted to rent. I dreamed about them constantly...crushed when they didn't have it. One time I had a dream where I was Earthworm Jim stuck in one of those ice caves from Donkey Kong Country.

I had this one dream as a kid. I blame playing too much NES as a young lad. So here goes nothing:

I am not sure what this game was called. But you would have to land on planets while traveling through the galaxy. Well, the dream would always come during storms. Lightning would strike, which I would barely see it as I was trying to sleep.

Well, I remember having a dream with all the lights out. Then seeing two eyes slowly creeping towards me in my trailer hallway. The lightning would flash. Until all of a sudden I would see the words

"GAME OVER"

And the creepy music would blare.

This dream haunted me until I was a young teenager for some reason. Now, I think it's awesome.

It pisses me off that I can not remember this game for the life of me. I played it all the time (And Blaster Master)

Not so much an recurring dream as much as a recurring theme. I often have dreams where I'm being assaulted and I'm too weak in the dream to fight the people off. It's pretty bothering. :/

I don't get many recurring dreams, but... I get these images flashing through my mind almost every night, a little before I'm actually asleep. I say "images" because they only last a moment. Not even a second, just barely long enough for it to register.

What they are varies, but they're rarely pleasant. Sometimes they're just weird, sometimes vague shadows on a bright backdrop.

Sometimes it's a bit creepy. If you're familiar with Gradius 3, think about the last part of the first level, where the boss is. But recolor it purple and green, and add sharp, bloody teeth around what was once sand pointing toward where your ship would be, and a snake-like tongue. The worst part is that if it was there for a while, it wouldn't bug me. But just having it there for that brief flash, while I try to figure out what the fuck I just saw... ugh. Not fun.

EDIT: Oh, one other recurring theme in dreams is a gradual feeling of complete exhaustion, of being too tired to even lift my arms. Struggling to even move my limbs. This usually happens just before I wake up, I noticed, but it hasn't come up lately.

I have a few recurring dreams but I can never remember them when I want to. When I do have those dreams, I know/feel that I have had that same dream before.

Also, since I can remember, my dreams have always had the same, cast of characters, if you will.

Nope. After a bit of research, I think I found the game. But I am not 100% sure. The music is vaguely similar.

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lniLe6WBCt0&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

But I don't think this is it. When you go to a planet. It takes roughly a minute to land on the planet and into the landing pad. I was a young kid back then so there might be more to the game. When I find it I'll post it.

There's a recurring dream I had several years ago.

I entered the elevator and selected the 2nd floor. The elevator started to move up, but suddenly spazzes out, moves back and forth and eventually, crashes down in a loooong fall. Then, when it stops, the counter reads something like -5731th floor and the door opens. and I enter some secret area which is different every time. One time, it was a secret corridor which lead out onto the road, another time it was a huuuuuge underground hangar with all sorts of aircraft. There were some others but I can't remember them.
