I actually did that intentionally, it helps the viewer have better regard for the ribbon, as apposed to being a mere accessory. It is a completely separate entity in this illustration.

I originally wanted to do this in Photoshop and add a Gaussian Blur finish to it but I ended up figuring out Paint Tool SAI's stabilizer function and wanted to play with it a bit.

For the same reason why the arms and body aren't included in a bust sculpture. The leg isn't supposed to be as significant as the ribbon in this particular case.

Alright, first of all, even if that is true, it's indistinguishable from a simple mistake; it comes off as a bit sloppy as opposed to a method of drawing one's attention to the ribbon.
Second of all, I find it odd that this one part of her leg was the only significantly insignificant bit that needed to be cut to draw attention to the ribbon. If you were going remove some of her body parts to promote the image of the ribbon, why would you pick that horrid spot to do so?
Third of all, including the rest of her leg would have detracted from the focal point? Are you serious?

My apologies if I'm mistaken, but it really does seem like you're dishonestly trying to cover up a mistake instead of fixing it; that'd be quite a shame, since you are obviously quite talented.

Regardless of the reason it's missing, I really think that including the rest of her leg could only improve the illustration, assuming that you would draw it with the same skill you used for the rest of it.

Also, since you're obviously focused on that point, when I redraw her I'll make her legs expand as well, tightening around them so they become amputated! MWAHAHAHA!

Okay, I'm joking about that. If you really want me to change it, I will. I'm just trying to say that it was my own decision to cut off the leg. If the other leg were visible at that point, I would have done it to that one as well!

I think it looks a bit weird being cut like that, yeah. Just something stylistic that didn't quite work as it should've and would've been better with the whole leg.

I think the problem was that, since the other leg seemed to be there (after all, it wasn't cut) it seems like her right leg was just ... missing. If both were shown like that, it would've worked better.

A bit more of an hourglass figure never hurt anybody, but that might be a bit much

As Xk said, the reason it looked werid is simply because the cutoff part of the other leg is not actually shown in the image. Had it been there and we could see that both legs were cut off I could definitely see it is an artistic liberty but the way it is now it does look like a mistake.

Despite that, I still really like the image. I wish I could draw that well...

Actually, now that I'm focusing on the ribbons and the legs, I've noticed a really big mistake that I was going to fix but forgot about. I'll add that to the list of what people want me to change/fix.

EDIT: My personally biggest gripe is the shading. Just like the Miku pic, I made some really stupid errors with it and should have given it a second look-over.
