Note to self, make better layout from this image...
By basic, I mean just a gradient or whatever effect with an image overlay.
The image can be any size, you specify the alpha transparency, location, effects, etcetera.

In short: Tell me what you want, provide an image, and I'll make it if it's not too hard.

PS: No pornographic images, do that yourself

EDIT: Oh yeah, have a sample.

You may want to consider some things:

- Learn how to add more complex designs other than a gradient
- Optimize your images (this one is 90% smaller @ 43K with only a slight degradation in quality, and that's because Irfanview's color reduction sucks ass)

I do happen to know a few better things than gradients, I was just giving an example of a basic effect. Besides, if I need to learn some hard effects, there's always GoodTutorials

I can't find a color optimization option in Photoshop. Besides, it's not like it's being used for a layout (If there is a color optimization function in Photoshop, I'm totally frikken' blind).

(hmm, maybe I should take some time to use some of GoodTutorials's photoshop tutorials )

Speaking of suggestions, if you're going to use that image as your post background, you should set the padding-right of your post area to 320 pixels so the text doesn't cover Mario, because it's difficult to read when it does. You might consider using a smaller Mario, too.

Maybe scaling it to 2000% was too much
