| Heh, the air I get coming off of this thread is "Man, I could go without internet. Let's post about it all night!" Anyways, turns out the internet isn't as influential as I thought. The week was like a normal week, except I decided to do other things to waste my time instead of click the same set of web browser bookmarks over and over. I Punch-Out!!ed Donkey Kong in under 150 seconds, without ducking and without stunning him... all in the same fight. That's three challenges at once! Then I proceeded to knock him out in 1:19 in the first round. This consumed, like, two days of spare time. I got some really slick collision code set up for a platformer project I'm working on (not Tyty's game). I can give more details about the project if anyone wants to know. There were a few times while I was programming when the mouse cursor, unguided by human hands, drifted down to the launch panel to fire up the web browser, which came up saying it couldn't connect to the homepage. Rascally mouse cursor. At least I was able to get back to work programming. I think if I need to work on something in the future, I'll make sure the internet is off. Pay day was Saturday. I'm rich now, since I've already got next month's payments out of the way. I immediately went to the bank for a roll of dollar coins... then I had to go across the street to another bank since the first bank didn't have any... then I had to drive across town to a third bank (after calling to make sure they had one) since the second bank didn't have any either. A co-worker of mine collects these precious metal discs, but only ends up giving them to his son, who likely gums them to death with his toothless, infant mouth. That is a waste. I, on the other hand, have a much more useful purpose for the coins and took all my shiny treasures to work just to watch him shed a tear looking at them, unable to have any. I'll be looking into PayPal soon to donate some of my enormous funds. It rained a gentle rain yesterday. I know saying it rains in the Seattle area is like saying Al Gore exaggerates about the environment, but it's been unusually dry for the last two months. It's the first time it rained here since I moved in. Um... Well, I guess there really wasn't anything particularly noteworthy about my week with no internet. Go figure. |
