I'd rather have a TF2 server than a Vent server, but that raises the question of how many people would use it.
As for Ventrilo, I'd use it, but I dunno how often.

A TF2 server would be pretty cool, so long as we actually use it a lot. When I play I have a few of my friends on Steam join up with me at random so it'll get a few more people on perhaps.

I have Teamspeak and let me say that it works very well. The server I connect to sometimes does enough for voice chatting.

As I've mentioned before, I have a microphone with this computer, but it's in the busiest part of my house. I'd rather not let everybody hear what I'm saying while letting you all hear what they're saying, so it's unlikely I could ever get on in this situation.

Now, I would like to use it, but until I get my own computer, it's pretty much out of the question.

Not particularly.

I'm an IRC person and prefer to just use that. The only voice chatting I do is on Xbox live and that is with people I know.

However, if it works and there is an audience for it on this board, then give it a shot. I got no complaints.

That was something else I was considering... someone from Sonic Retro got a server up, and it's pretty neat being able to do whatever you want with one, like installing whatever mods you want and such. That could have its own seperate donate bin, too, for the players.

And we'd get to decide the maps

I still recommend you try out Portal first, though — it's fairly short, but it's actually pretty damn fun. (You can beat it in only about 4-5 hours, more if you get lost)

Is that all? Jeez, I thought it was more of a replication of his actual voice, not just sounding southern. I though that when you were talking about it that one time (last year probably) you meant I actually sounded like the engineer himself, not a cosplayer! Had me believing it incorrectly for a while, even had someone check for themselves to make sure.

Anyway, you'll also have to deal with my lappy's poor, discombobulated sound card. It makes my voice sound muffled and un-natural. It also brings out the southern drawl a bit more than a decent card. I could try it on my desktop that has a better sound card, but honestly, that thing is ancient.
