The way ZX's teleporters worked, you couldn't port to them until after you'd manually activated them, so that wouldn't be a problem.

Well that could get evil on backtracks if you wanted to cleverly place things that wouldn't be available until you came back...

So I guess that means that there would be four or five start points for everyone on this huge map or something.

Well, if that's how the story ends up being written, then yes. Don't all the characters have their own bosses? Really, all you're doing is adding in the connecting areas. I suppose then that whether you use the MMZX style or MMX style is just down to which one the majority prefers. I'm just floating the idea as a counterpoint to MMX, and because I'm partial to that kind of setup personally.

Well played. I knew who you were, I'm just giving you a hard time.

I just didn't want to add too much to it. Like I said in my previous post, I didn't want to get things overly complex. I just figured that it was going to remain simple until otherwise stated.

Now it's otherwise stated...so I don't really know. I don't think there's really anything bad with what you've suggested but how much of a game ARE we putting together anyways?

On an unrelated note, I was scrounging around in my music collection and found the music I determined as a "conceptual theme music" for my Villain. After re-listening to it, I noticed it'd make a nice fortress BGM, so the music artist(s) may use this as inspiration:

Now that that little aside is out of the way, are we still determining bosses? If so, I do have a killer idea (If I could happen to be a boss, by any chance)... Perhaps one kinda like Ado for Kirby's Dreamland 3, mixed with some Blackmoore (Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia), wherein you don't directly fight him, but apparitions he draws and creates that come alive and attack the player, getting progressively more powerful the more you defeat?

Just a little thought that popped into my head.
