Oh I hate hate hate those kind of people

Reminds me of preschool, where I was the only one who could read/write. The teachers didn't say "hey, that's a good thing" or something, they scolded me for it

Okay that's retarded. Teachers are supposed to facilitate learning, not discourage it. I really don't get the education system sometimes

School memories? Let's see...

Elementary school: I didn't make many friends, I got great grades in math, I got bad grades in English (and usually also history), and I was occasionally picked on. All of my teachers said I was smart and couldn't figure out why I got such contrasting grades.

Middle school: See above. 7th grade, the only class I did well in was 9th grade math. 8th grade...

Arrgh.

In 8th grade, my math teacher was supposed to be teaching a 10th grade math class. Unfortunately, I understood the textbook better than the teacher (or anyone else, but I'm not going to rant about math textbooks here). I failed the class because it was too easy, and so the teacher wouldn't let me sign up for the math class I wanted.

High school, freshman year: All I remember was hating being in a math class about things I had already learned. Everything else is blank.

High school, sophomore year: I made some more friends, and found out I have ADD and a learning disability. Math class was fun. (I still didn't do so great in my other classes.)

High school, this year: Physics is the best science class ever. Now all I have to do is not fail English or history again.

...

I don't like school.

I have a few that I want to post, but to spare everyone from a wall of text....

I was in kindergarten and someone asked me to watch their tire swing. I stood by it and watch it. Another kid came over and tried to take the tire swing. I took a bite out of his arm.

Cannibal!

Hm...

I remember the Grade 10 Physical Science (no, not gym; a science class) exam very well for two reasons. First, it was extremely difficult and I only managed to get a decent (70-ish) mark due to the previous lab exam; second, I had one of the lowest marks on the test (despite it being a bare pass). Reason? Well, due to math class that year, everyone needed to purchase nice shiny graphical calculators. Being the first year that we had them, the teachers had no idea that you could basically store a ton of notes and formulas on those things.

Everyone had the formulas and people passed them around. I was kept in the dark on this and didn't know about it. Class average ends up being quite high, I'm one of the few who did the exam legitimately and got punished for it mark-wise.

The following year in Grade 11, all students were required to show that their memory was cleared from their calculators before starting any exam requiring it. Gee, wonder how that happened... ^___^

Now, the Grade 10 math exam at Christmas was just an absolute demonic fury unleashed by the Quebec Ministry of Education. There was material on there that none of the Grade 10's (including myself) were even TAUGHT and when talking to our teacher after the exam, he admitted that he was a little concerned after seeing it.

I got 59% on it. That became a 77% after the school was forced to bell curve it. XD

It's not a good memory, but all the same, A teacher was shot in the parking lot during my Junior year of high school. It was before class and most students were outside at the time, so pretty much everyone heard the gun shots.
