Okay, as far as the game engine was concerned, I'm leaning towards a tile-based 2D engine that could be expanded upon to fit whatever we wanted, if mainly because I'm not particularly great with 3D yet. I think this would be best since it'll be easier to code/debug and that way it'll be easiest for everyone here to make their own levels if they want.

And sure, you could be a boss for Kasua's level, I was going to do an electrical/industrial themed level. Just yeah, whenever you have any idea who/what you'd want to be, I guess just post it.

Hm...so he's the big cheese behind the programming dealie then?

And I figured it'd be 2D, if not to keep with the style of MM over all else. I'd rather play something 2Dish in the genre anyways. Just feels more authentic.

But yea, I've got an idea of what I can do for Rain; it'd be better if I know what Anya's doing and if she doesn't have a means of what's going to happen then I can pair her along for the ride given what the head hancho wants to do to set a reason for why Rain needs to go kick some ass MM-style.

Yeah, we were going to do it in 2D. Sprites the whole way.

I figured Pandaren and I could make up some designs (If he still wants to do graphics) And then chose a style to do the game's sprites in.

Hydra's hosting and therefore in charge of the SVN, but I'm basically in charge of the codebase itself.

I...can tell, since some of that doesn't really seem feasible.

A one-hit KO for pulling bones out, in other words.

Sides, how are you going to make that all into a story in comparison to the fact that it's all based on whatever 'faux Dr. Wily' is doing?

Yea but the whole point of that would be to do it in a fashion that it would contribute...although, I guess this is something to go on but Saturn would kinda...I dunno...win all out against all of them. Not to mention that if I keep my context correct that she's kinda in Anya as it is anyways, so you'd have to explain that one too...

Reason I mention any of this is because I have a premise (which I'll likely write later tonight so I don't shoot myself in the foot for posting now as it is anyways cuz GOD I suck when I'm saying this stuff) that would actually tie into a story, it's flexible and it actually gives me and the user an idea of WHY Rain would be doing this stuff anyways.

If you can do the same, said for any character, then there's really no problem...but you need to make it to where it's like...I dunno...Megaman 2 or 3 ish...maybe a little bit more flashy and MMX or Z or ZX ish I dunno...but study the games a little bit.

Hell, RosenkreuzStilette did it right.

We just need to work out their powers a bit. Then they could work.

As for story, I can tie my characters into the story easy.

First 3: They think the Teyla they're fighting isn't Teyla

Meizuki: Wants to test you before you go hunt down the Big Bad.

Not trying to give you a hard time on this or anything (I am) but I'm just trying to get the kinks out early so you don't have to worry about them later. Planning stages suck like that...course I've been involved in projects that dealt with avatars of my writings before...it's just they never made it past this phase because of either this or it just being a bout of laziness that inevitably caved into nothing ever coming forth from an effort.

Hence my lack of faith in this project, not that I don't see the talent to get it done but you must figure that this is going to take months...years? I'd push alongside the project with a lot more enthusiasm if I ever saw something of mine done...it's why I had a fighting list done a long time ago (which, admittedly, isn't all that good) but it never met fruition.

I mean I can easily pull things out of my ass to better suit a project such as this in terms of creative consulting but it makes it a lot better if all the if, ands or buts are taken care of at the start because that's when things usually dissolve.

I'm unfamiliar with VisualSVN; is there anything special I should know about it?

Just for the record, you'll want to update frequently too. Also, VisualSVN is just an addon for visual studio that makes working with SVNs easy. If you're not using visual studio, you'll have to use whatever works for you... as well as make the makefile (VS2008 doesn't use makefiles )
