I figured what I was thinking was correct, and you just probably confirmed it.

Hmm...sounds like an interesting idea. I am definitely not a good enough programmer to help code the game, although I could help with the storyline, design some of the stages, or compose some of the music. If I am a character, can I be a mad scientist of some kind (good or bad)? I could be...let's see...a scientist in his mid-twenties who likes explosives, has the ability to switch genders spontaneously (don't know why I thought of that), makes a lot of bad puns and smart remarks, makes clones and crazy creatures (think of the "experiments" in Lilo & Stitch, only more real and less lame) and knows a lot about chemistry.

I'm not so sure I really like the boss select thing, though...I don't know. I think having a certain number of the bosses be the same and having a couple vary depending on the character is a good idea, but how about instead doing something similar to the warp rooms in Crash Bandicoot, where you could play certain groups of stages in any order, and oce you had completed that group, you would fight a boss. Here, maybe there would be two "forks" in the "path" in order to allow different characters to fight different bosses. Maybe...?

Ah, now I understand that of the bosses.

Though do the other common bosses that aren't of the last few stages still give weapons/join the party/whatever then?

Also if not a boss I'd like to be the hidden somewhat useless upgrade. You know, sorta like Beat.

In other words, if we actually had any other people using the SVN Hydra's provided, we'll be able to know when there have been SVN updates.

Actually, we'll have to discuss that with GuyPerfect if we're still going with the "betrayal" plot, as Stein's motives aren't known by anybody but himself until the end; GuyPerfect's villain is the one visibly carrying out a plan, and I wouldn't want it to be out of character.
