| Tragedy is something we all have to deal with. Some people find pleasure in the misfortune of others and choose to make fun of it. Now, personally, I believe there's nothing wrong with jokes that are in bad taste. I've been amused by many parodies and jokes about such things. But some of you may disagree. Some of you may call those people immature. You may be so pretentious that you're technically more annoying than the most assholish of assholes. But let's not get into that. All that matters is that there are issues surrounding joking about tragedy, and there are generally five kinds of stances on it: those who enjoy it, those who make it, those who don't care, those who hate it, and those who REALLY hate it. But a man in Australia was so angry at two people for laughing at the death of a cat, that he took up an axe and killed them both. He hates mocking tragedy so much, that he believes in the killing of those who do it. That or he has serious emotional issues. Incidently, those two people were his parents. His excuse? He thought they had poisoned the cat. I mean seriously, what the FUCK? Go here for the full article. |
