So, yeah. As far back as I can remember, I have worn my watch on my dominant hand. I've been told time and time again how odd that apparently is, and I've always wondered just how uncommon that actually is.

Anyway, I already know that there are a fair amount of people like myself, so I'm just curious to see if I'm alone on this matter in the Jul community.

Oh, and if by chance you are ambidextrous or mixed-handed, let's just say that for the purposes of this poll, the hand you typically write with is your dominant hand.

I write with my left hand. My watch goes on my left arm.

I'm actually pretty sure that most people wear watches on their left hands, regardless of dominant hand... Eh.

Generally on my left arm, but occasionnaly on my right if I feel like it.

Seriously, I don't really care =P

(My dominant hand is the right, by the way)

I'm right handed and wear my watch on my right arm.

Until a friend commented on it, I always thought this is how it's supposed to be, actually I don't really care, I could put it on my left arm, but I'll just leave it on my right one because that's what I'm used to.

I very rarely wear a watch, but when I do, it's on my non-dominant left hand. That way, I can easily put it on / take it off.

NOT OVER YET
Non-dominant--slammed on the left wrist.

Meh, I always thought you'd wear it on the non-dominant hand, but

Same case goes with my dad, so I guess I've been scratching my head a little from time to time. Not that it matters too much, anyway. It's easier to set if I have it on my left arm.

Actually, it's just all-around easier with it on my left wrist.

Non-dominant: left wrist. It's out of the way when I write and do things with my right hand. The only time it's in the way is when I hang my arm on my car door when driving.

My mom wore her watch on her dominant right wrist; she said it was a habit from barber school, but she's backwards in a few other things.

Dominant hand, or at least when the watch isn't broken.

I wear my watch on my non-dominant arm's wrist (left), though I'm somewhat ambidextrous.

I dunno, it just seems to... fit better on my left wrist.

IF I wore one, I'd prefer it on my dominant hand, the right hand.

But I don't. I use a 5 year old cell phone instead.

Don't wear one, but when I do, it's on my right hand, which is my main hand/arm/side.

I haven't worn one for a few years (mine broke, never got it fixed/a new one), but I used to wear it on my left wrist (non-dominant hand).

Agreed. ... Well, I used to wear bracelets on my right wrist all the time, and just take them off whenever I was writing. That was a nuisance. But now that I don't wear a watch, I wear my bracelets on my left arm. :x Actually, small chains are okay to have on while writing, but that's about it.

*Aiya shrugs.

I used to wear a watch until the band broke and I lost it. I have cell phone now, so I don't really need it. When I did wear one, I wore it on my dominant hand (right), I actually didn't give it much thought, up until now I wasn't even aware of any particular convention.

Non-dominant left. Someone told me that was the one I should wear it on, which made sense (Watch getting in the way while writing.) so that's what I started with and what I'm now used to. Also, putting it on the wrong wrist just seems annoying. My left hand is really poorly coordinated.

I wear mine with the face topside on my non-dominant (left). I know those that would rather wear it the other way around on the same hand but I just don't. :\

Non-dominant for me as well. Been wearing them that way forever. I'm going to need a new one sometime, my Timex's backlight died yesterday but I can still see the time normally.

I started to wear my watch at work to keep track of the time....yea, it's very hard to wear a watch in a kitchen and not get it messy.

Yeah, I always take my watch off at home/the dorm. No need for it then.

I'll just use my cell phone to keep track of time and there's a clock in the back of the kitchen that I look at.
