I don't know, maybe Nintendo could get creative and create some new AAA IPs or something. I mean, that's how Pikmin came out, just Miyamoto thinking about stuff while gardening. Now they've got him thinking up how to make music games unfun.

Oh, of course.

But leave technical hyper-movement skills to DDR, Guitar Hero or Tetris. They're the point of those games.

There's a reason I still hate every other fighting game bar Smash, and that's because I need to memorise a sequence of unnecessarily long inputs for each character I ever want to use to even be passable at the game. I'd just like to see more of people thinking of tactics, thinking and planning as an actual skill rather than how fast you can jiggle some switches being the only measure of skill.

Depends on the fighter...some are easier to pick up than others.

If you're expecting to get good at Mortal Kombat overnight...good luck. Some others that have simplified sequences aren't as bad though.

Case in point: Gundam Wing Endless Duel on the SFC/SNES. You could literally button mash most of your combos on it. And there is a great deal of strategy involved...as are most of your attack and receive games (Chess, for one; I like to attribute those fighters to this game).

Reminds me of when I was in the arcade once and tried to play Fatal Fury Special as if it was Street Fighter II.

Big mistake.

Nintendo could certainly be a little more aggressive when it comes to releases, however... even the weekly stuff.

And some companies aren't complaining right now - Hudson announced they've shipped TWO MILLION COPIES of Deca Sports. And that's apparently a horrible game.
