Updated version!!! I was tired of updating the same post. It still only works with the 1964 Emulator, due to checksum issues (TO BE FIXED). Please report any problems with anything.

Hack is at: http://www.mediafire.com/file/2kghkonmwzz/NEWSM64.zip

Please enjoy!!!

Elder Bob-omb

The Chilly Bully Family

This is a Bubbly Spring Tree. All trees have a spring theme in the hack. (At first I was going to make pink grass, but changed it, making all the grass slightly different.)

To post a picture you need to go to a website like Imageshack.us and upload it there. Then scroll down to where it says direct link, and save the url it has there, and then use the [img][/img] tags

Your tags are correct, however you are linking to a local file in your computer (ie, C:\Program files\etc) instead of a web address. Try imageshack.us or photobucket.com for hosting pics, they will also automatically provide correct tagging if you want to post them here (just copy the "Hotlink for Forum 1" stuff).

Also, you can use the n64sums.exe program included in the ROM Extender to correct the CRC of your hack.

Edit: I will try that Flat Lava level later on .

In order to make a Patch, download the Patch maker at:
http://halo2.filefront.com/file/PPFStudio;46652

Follow these steps:

1. Make a file for the patch by clicking on the browse button beside the destination file button, go to where you want it, then name it.

2. Where it says origional file, use a UNEDITED SM64 ROM. click on the browse button and select it.

3. For the area labeled pached file, do the same as step 2, only this time use your hack.

4. Click create PPF file, then you are done! It doesn't really say much when it is done, but you should look at the bottom to help figure out when it is finished.

Hope all this helps, and make sure you go over the Rules Tread in this forum. I dislike to see anyone get in trouble, although mistakes sometimes happen. I am not perfect either at all of this, but I do want others to get better. Once again, I hope all of this helps!!!

(If you don't understand some parts of this, or you want to apply a patch, go to the Patches Thread torwards the back of The Forums.)

So what, at the age of 11 I could type circles around you.

Here are the steps to actually doing it right.

1. Learn to type. For example, capitalization, apostrophes, and numbers lower than 9000 are helpful.
2. Ask other people, read The FAQ, and carefully attempt to learn how to do things first rather than failing, then begging for forgiveness.
3. If you cannot comprehend this, or fail despite help... go away and come back 5 years from now.

Your future self will thank me for this!

Nice hack! I could never do a Flatworld hack. But, you should include at least one picture. (That cannon in the hack scared me!)

Hey Nickpop, I played your entire hack except for anything you might've done outside of Whomp's Fortress and Bob-Omb Battlefield.

It was actually really good! I enjoyed it.

However, there were some issues I noticed, and a nifty glitch that i noticed:
In Platform Battlefield:
- The cannon you have set up for the star up in the sky is facing the wrong direction. So I had to moon jump it.
- I dunno if you were planning on making those grating walls walljumpable, because they're not. So I had to long jump from some random platform to get to the last red coin.
- I dunno if I just never found it, but was there a warp to the slide star? Maybe I just missed it, I dunno. To get that one I long jumped from that green slide, which was an awesome slide. The brown one was a little boring because it was just a straight away.
- I think in each of your levels (Bob-omb and Whomp's) you have one star where there are actually two where you can collect either for it to count. Was this on purpose?

In Whomp's Fortress:
- There weren't really any problems here, besides there being two stars that counted for the same star screen objective.
- That tower you set up was really awesome, but it felt a little drawn out, in my opinion.
- Also, I couldn't finish this level because you built your tower beyond the sky limit. So there were a couple more levels I had left to go until I'd have reached the star/boss/whatever was up there.
- I don't know if this was just my issue, but after you reach the box with the red coin hidden behind it, the game slows down a lot, and by the time you're well into the tower it's practically going in slo-mo. It might be because you have too many objects in the level.

Now, the nifty glitch. Chances are all of you already know this, but I didn't, so I thought it was cool:
- When you have a grating set up vertically, if you're underneath it and you're lined up with it perfectly, Mario will grab onto it. If you press forward in the direction Mario if facing, he'll start to vertically climb the wall. You can kind of move left and right, but you have to do it while Mario is moving up and down.

Overall it was pretty good.

Now, onto Bob-ombs...
I found no bugs

Uh, yeah, maybe you could realize this is not a dumping ground for entire roms, but patches. Seriously, I'm considering having anyone who EVER links a direct rom banned on sight, since you obviously didn't pay attention to the FAQ.

Hey wats up, I have finally enough stuff to show you some screen shots of my mod I have been working on. I havn't done anything with the textures or text yet. I was mainly worried about gameplay. Infact, I found a stupid error that when you exited the castle to the castle grounds, it took you automatically to the star. IDK how I fixed it though. It's fix now. here are the screenshots. BTW the mod is called Clay Mario 64.
Clay Mario!

More stars required for levels!

Slide availiable right away in the game!

Pipe underwater?
(Note: Cannot enter while swimming)

Solution!

Here are some of the many challanging puzzles!

How do you get in?

Finally, what we have all been waiting for... Harder Bosses!

Looks pretty good so far, puzzles are always fun. Also, great choices in Mario's colors. Looks really cool.

The chain chomp at the boss battle will probably be kinda annoying though.....(Go play some levels in Super Mario 128 and you'll know what I mean by annoying. lol)

I know what you mean, but when it comes to bosses, they should be annoying, and yes I have seen Mario 128.
