Ok, so, get this; we had to pick a scene from a classic novel, and illustrate it with one color and tones of it. So I picked Moby Dick, the part where Ahab looks the whale in the eye, and is ready to skewer it.

With the combined powers of Photoshop CS3 and my Wacom tablet, I designed Ahab firstly...

As seen here.

Then, I pulled it all together.

White whale! Holy grail!

I think I'm finally making progress. If I had a whole weekend with nothing to do, I'd color it top to bottom, and make it look truly fantastic.
Thoughts, comments, etc., are appreciated as always.

Hey, I'm impressed just by the Ahab picture on its own. But with the White Whale mashup it's kind of situational...just looking at it from my computer doesn't impress me much, but if I were to look at it as a part of a book it would just fit straight in there that way.
So yes, great job you did that. Nice style, no real complaints.
