Adult Link is a teenager. If you noticed, Link isn't having a midlife-crisis in any game, nor is he in his 20s. He's usually around like 17.
Even if he's a ltitle older, three different links (even if not in the same Smash Bros.) is really just too much. Also,
jump: mid-air jump.
shield: he has it by default, so reflecting things isn't too good
thunder: ... um.
i don't know if you've played Zelda 2 (i bet cpu hasen't) but they could call him Retro Link with red Hair and would work like this
Shield-reduce damage
Jump-twice the jumoing power
fairy-being able to fly for a bit
Fire-shoot fire
reflect-any attack and final smash if timed right
Thunder-causes damage to all opponents
don't know just any idea to throw idea..Great palace would make an awesome stage too
A lot of people here (including me) remember the pkmn trading card craze. But you know, sticker books were actually quite the same. Sadly, none of these are scratch and sniff (not that I would want to know what Wario smells like).

you know i bet most of the new stuff will be locked and not avaible right of the bat. also some more stages can do from other games like Donkey kong country 2, Warioland, The Paper Mario series (Bitland anyone?)
or at least Great palace from zelda 2

Umm, they pretty much had that in Melee, it just wasn't gold. And it was just called Palace, but still, it's clearly inspired from a Zelda 2 palace, and I don't see how the Great Palace would be done much differently.

I'm thinking that that's a good possibility. Though I hope they don't carry over levels that are always played by everyone, i.e. Hyrule Temple, Corneria. I play way too many battles there. I force random if I can to prevent playing there.
