It's not that I don't want to, but I'm currently leaning towards the "why bother" side of things. The only people who would benefit from such a thing are the people who have the game, and thusly the people who can use the game's stage editor in the first place.

The only advantage I can think of for having a stage utility outside of the game is to present the level data in a format that can easily be posted on a forum, copy/pasted into the utility, then encoded into the format that the came can use. That said, is there anything that can encode files for Wii? I've only seen decoders.

Hey, you can always hope that there are a couple of level blocks that work for levels but can't be placed in the in-game editor.

Would be interesting to experiment with, at least.

Been playing through the Subspace thing... I totally whipped Bowser's ass with Diddy. Got him to about 180 damage before knocking him off and he didn't even hit me once. But man, the Marth/Meta-knight part is just rape. You get wailed on by about 20 different enemies at once (many of them having projectiles and explosives), walk a few meters, get wailed on some more, repeat this about 20 times, go through some little mine-cart area ending at a jump over a huuuge gap that at least Meta-knight can't make, get wailed on a few more times, and then fight a couple boss battles.

If you are complaining about that part I can't wait to see your reaction to The Great Maze.

Also, as soon as a character joins up, apply stickers immediately. Flinch Resistance ones are excellent and can make you stand still during most bosses. I added one to Wolf and it takes about 200% before a boss can finally KO him. Then again he also has a Trophy Stand Drops sticker so he has to withstand a beating...

I did. Without a Game Over as well.

I just prefer stickers for getting Trophy Bases since they never appear when I want them to. I just now got a Goomba trophy if that shows how scarce they are.

The Great Maze is horrible. You shouldn't be forced to go through the Subspace Emissary TWICE just to complete it.
