I saw a youtube comment while watching the sonic 3 1993 (nov 3) build where someone had stated that it was supposed to appear in the game. not only do i find this just such a ... weird inclusion, but when googling it i found nothing.

i know that alone should be my answer but, you never know.. thanks

It's been told many of times but I can't remember where I first heard it. Basically, the comment is right, it was SUPPOSED to show up, but it didn't because the guys behind it had... lost the prototype, and so they off and on search for the prototype to this day.

Probably should get a more credible source than my memory though.
