I have two weeks of vacation from work, and some time between now and the week after New Year's I'm planning on moving TCRF off of Linode and onto a more modern server. Things will probably break. I'll try to keep everyone updated on What's Happening.

Right now I do not have any details.

Nothing will get lost. This will be the third move I have done of this software in about 7 years. It will just mean that the site will be inactive for a while (nobody will be able to edit or add content).

So after the TCRF is moved to a new server and is up and running, what's the best way to report bugs? Can we use this thread or is JUL going to be moved as well?

This place as always. Jul is on the shared hosting TCRF used to occupy six years ago. It isn't going anywhere.

Right now we use Linode, the new one will probably use DigitalOcean. Simply because TCRF is primarily storage-constrained, and DO offers elastic (expandable) storage while Linode doesn't.

People complain about how OGGs can't play on mobile and such; the ability to transcode media into more usable formats has been there, but disabled. You can see them piling up if you check the statistics page on TCRF; the job queue is pretty long now (1000+).
