I noticed the cd for this game has a 33 megabyte "DUMMY" file on it. I've seen people ripping data from these games - how do you open them? It reads as a "unix executable" and has a creation date of 2002... for a game released in 2007.

Dummy files are random files used to pad out discs for one reason or another. Pad them out too much and you can easily end up in a weird situation.

You might want to take a look into that dummy file with a hex editor, as I have strong suspicion it's not a Unix executable. MadEdit is what I'd recommend, as it's not only a hex editor, but it can also read Shift JIS encoded files. As this is a Japanese game, I'd presume that dummy file would also contain at least some Japanese strings.

Sounds like it's a PS2 ELF file.

Opened it up and it's 33 Megabytes of "00" in hex. So I guess that means there's no weird old movies.

Disappointing, but not a surprise. Hot Shots Golf 2 has a similar dummy file, but it's 22 MB. Having a dummy file with a bunch of zeroes is actually pretty common.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
