| The game itself is a "fork" of the original Madagascar game, made for PC. See, in the original Madagascar game, there are a few little mini games you can buy at the "Zoovenir shop" and can play them (Mini golf, etc...) and basically the developers forked the engine, and removed the original levels from being accessible and included only the mini games. Well, they must have shipped a debug build of some sort, because I just bought a copy, and the moment I boot the game, i see a build tag of sorts at the bottom left hand corner of the main menu! This got me to think of looking in the files, and boy am I glad I did. They left like, 3 of the original Madagascar levels in there (King of New York, Marty's Escape, and then the New York Street Chase) and they are completely playable if you rename the original mini game (rename golf to ~golf or something similar) and then make a duplicate of the unused level and rename it to golf, and then go back to the game and play it. It will load perfectly, though the dialog boxes make no sense for some reason. They are no different from the final, though, so no reason to do this. |
