While searching around in The Darkness II's exe I found it has a lot of launch options that I can't seem to figure out.

The first one, -debugsession, makes the game open a cmd window then close.

The second two are more interesting.

-console doesn't seem to do anything but it's definitely a valid launch option. Presumably it's a matter of finding out how to enable it or how to bind it to a key.

-editor is the most interesting. When enabled, it causes the game to launch into a blank window which then becomes unusable. This means there are at least remnants of this editor still there.


enabling all 3 at once doesn't seem to do anything.


Judging by this string: "Editor is available, Developer Mode is ON per default" enabling the editor either also enabled dev mode or we need to find out how to enable dev mode to access the editor.

You can also use custom configs using the -config launch option, but without knowing any commands it's not very useful right now.
