| Man, I cannot believe that those two awesome games don't get much attention anymore...so I created this thread (which works kinda like the MegaMan discovery threads I did before), so we can discuss oddities and (possible) unused or prototype content of F-Zero GX and its Arcade counterpart. First off, there is this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbV-XbHSOVA That guy already mentions the old Sand Ocean version of Screw Drive, AX in GX, and prototype versions of GX tracks in AX. However, that video also has got more, which need further investigation: *The Winner Ceremony and the Demo Course are actually coded as venues. However, it's a bit fishy that the Demo Course uses Night Over Big Blue as its theme when played as a venue. *That guy also managed to make AX sounds play in GX without glitches after discovering the sounds through glitches, and made the voice samples "Race Mode" and "Time Attack Mode". However, he's also mentioning a third mode (which has no voice sample, mind you). We somehow need to check out, if the silence (no pun intended) is really a third mode and not just GX glitching up. I would really like to try it out myself, so I would like to know, how that guy managed to make the AX voice samples play in the correct situations. In other words, that would be my first attempt at actively modding a game. More stuff will be posted later on, so stay tuned and fast! Long live F-Zero. |
