My friends recently got me into Fall Out Boy and oh god, they're good. 'Golden' sounds amazing and 'Sugar, we're going down' has bits that sound like the Stage Select from Mega Man, which made me a little too giddy for a grown man.

While I was working on my model of WayForward's April Fools' Day joke character, I decided to finally check out Mighty Switch Force! and Mighty Switch Force! 2 to help get me in the mood. Besides the games being really fun and creative, one thing that really stuck out to me is how great the music is. Both soundtracks are composed by Jake Kaufman, aka Virt from OC ReMix. Some of the tracks are so catchy that I listen to them for hours.

Best part is, you can get both soundtracks via Bandcamp, with the ability to name your own price.
Mighty Switch Force!
Mighty Switch Force! 2

Since the game is set in a futuristic world with robots and such, so a lot of the tracks are techno/electronic, and some of the sequel's music even ventures into glitchy/dubstep territory in a few places. The albums also come with bonus remixes contributed by various people, to spice things up. Even if you don't plan on getting the game, I highly recommend checking out the music!

Here are my top favorite tracks for each, in album order. I know these are just the ones I like best, but I suggest at least checking out these even if you're iffy about the others.

Mighty Switch Force!:
6. Love You Love You Love You
7. Jive Bot (the refrain is really catchy)
8. Whoa I'm In Space Cuba (see also Bonus Chip Mix)
11. Break Up Take Down (fast paced)
15. End Credits (more relaxed arrangement of the main theme)

Mighty Switch Force! 2:
1. Title (very catchy, instrumental version of credits song, has a disco sort of vibe to it)
3. Got2BAStar (upbeat mix of title theme)
9. Dalmation Station (such an upbeat and cute melody!)
10. The Afterblaze (good beat, really catchy, also see Bonus Chip Mix)
15. Credits (Rescue Girl) (Song with all-guy vocals. Just give it a go.)

Interestingly enough, I actually don't really like Jupiter Jazz! I think the Garegga version is much better than the original.

Sometimes I Feel Like is a better one that was ripped off for the same game
